  1. thanks all, I got some turning to do before I dive into scrolling. I got an order of pens to get done. then some eagle portraits to scroll(order for boy scouts). I'm afraid if I just start scrolling now I won't get my pen order done. But every time I turn around in my shop I can hear the Excalibur taunting me "use me use me "
  2. Looks great Dick
  3. the saw is on the bench and ready to go. I did turn it on and ran it but I didn't cut nothin holy cow is it quiet
  4. I was going through my pictures and my gallery and found a few intarsia projects I didn't have posted to my gallery. So I've added them. These were from last year all were giving as Christmas gifts. The Barn owl went to friends in Tennessee. It's made from elm, wenge, walnut, aspen, and cherry. The Elvis was a gift to my mom, made from wenge, mahogany, maple and box elder. and the beaver is made from walnut, elm, aspen, poplar, wenge, and maple. The beaver is the logo to the place where I buy all my wood. I took a picture of their signand made the intarsia from it.
  5. My new saw showed up this afternoon. Got it out of the box checked everything over. Now I've gotta get the old backup saw out of the way and make a new home for the Excalibur. I'M SO HAPPY

  15. Well yesterday after lots of going back and forth between saws. I ordered my Excalibur 21 hopefully it will be here soon. With buying extra blade holders and the cost, the Hawk it just wasn't possible now. I only hope I made the right choice and the EX21 last a lot longer than my Dewalt did.
  16. Nope not yet. I keep going back and forth between the Hawk and Excalibur. I can't seem to make up my mind. But within a couple days I will have a new saw on its way whichever I do choose.

  19. Greqt job on the ornament. I apply my pattern directly to the wood then use mineral spirits to get it back off. You aee very welcome, glad I could help you keep scrolling.
  20. I scan all mine to JPG.
  21. that looks to be a 26" Hawk they are $ 1400 new. my vote is the Hawk. I've had a Dewalt wore it out after 2.5 years. I replaced bearings, brushes and then the motor or speed control board started acting up, plus a loud banging came back. I am saving to buy the Hawk. I'm almost there hope to have it after the first of the year.
  22. I have not used one. I have seen a couple though.
