  1. It looks good. What blade are you using? I became a grandpa at 36 now I have 4 grandkids. remember practice, practice and you'll be an expert in no time.
  2. to remove my pattern I spray or wipe on mineral spirits. I loosens the glue and the pattern peels right off, if not I apply a little more. once all the pattern is off I wipe it down again to make sure all the glue residue is gone, let it dry and apply finish as usual
  3. I use a propane torch to burn the fuzzies off. works well just don't hold it to long in one place the edges will burn
  4. The pattern is in the library Kevin
  5. Thank you. I think this is one of the first patterns of mine that I have cut.
  6. Thanks Kevin

  10. it's a personal preference really. I like using hardwoods for a lot of cuttings, and for portraits I like using Baltic birch plywood. If you are just cutting shapes for now pine would be the cheapest to use, or you can use plywood or mdf. Sometimes you can get cull wood(wood that's not good enough to sell at full retail) from big box stores like home depot and lowes. some pallets have some real good wood to use too.
  11. This is the last one. Buck in water saw blade. This is cut from 1/8" Baltic birch as well. This is one of my patterns I did several years ago. It's roughly 7" diameter
  12. here is one of the cuttings I did after the bug bit me. they are not framed. I wanted to get your opinions on the background colors. I like them both but I think I like the black more. I'm undecided I will probably frame both ways and let whoever gets the decide. cut in 1/8" Baltic birch.
  13. Here is my last order a portrait of John Wayne. cut from 1/8" Baltic birch. the cutting measures 10 x 13
  14. nicely done.

  18. CONGRATS. I LIKE YOUR DIPLAY. EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT.
  19. ok I was in the shop scrolling the John Wayne portrait(my last order). Well I finished this cutting, and had an odd feeling on the back of my neck. So I looked in one of my drawers and found a couple of scroll projects that were started (who knows when). Well I finished one of them and got a good start on the other plan to finish tomorrow. The scroll bug must of bitten me again. It's been a while since I've done this much scrolling, other than intarsia. I forgot the camera in the shop so I'll post pictures tomorrow. The bug bite has caused some discomfort, now I'm wanting my new saw even more. but it is still going to be a while before I take the plunge have to save up a bit more.

  24. here are a couple other places. I have ordered from both. I usually buy different sizes as well to make up for shipping. I am fortunate though that the second one is about a half hour drive from me. http://www.craftparts.com/index.php - http://www.bayerwood.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=35_139&products_id=1614&osCsid=0666a4e8a073f1340d58553745f0f9b5
