  1. Beautiful work, Dave, Definitely not the easiest photos to make patterns of and you sure didn't cut any corners to make them easy patterns to cut! Great job! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  2. Great work, Dick, I know we hear it so often that it is beginning to sound like a cliché but, we are sometimes our own worst critics. You should be very proud of this accomplishment. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  3. Nice work, Alex, I have also done that pattern before. It is a Garnet Hall design from his site here http://www.sawbird.com/patterns_fantasy.htm I have also done his Tatonka Spirit and Haida Thunderbird and would like to do his Sole Survivor but, over $22 Canadian is too steep for me. God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Very nice, Wayne, I like the tones in that wood grain also. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  5. Great cutting and I really like the grain in that BB. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  6. Hi, Ray, You definitely are not a bother. Some of us may learn from your questions and others may be able to offer helpful suggestions. Pretty much a win win situation. Glad you got your problem worked out. God Bless! Spirithorse

  9. Nicely done, Wayne, Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  10. Nice work, Frank, I especially like the last cross in the first picture because of the way you oriented the grain. Normally, I would have just run the grain horizontally in that pattern but, your version reminds me to look for other alternatives that may appeal to different people. Good work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  11. I agree with Rockytime Les that a skip tooth blade is all that is needed. God Bless! Spirithorse
  12. I think oyu did a great job. As for the oval frame idea, here are a couple examples that could be used for frames although the original use was borders on intarsia projects. As you will see, each of these examples uses sections to make up the entire oval rather than trying to cut the entire oval out. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=u7KFToaW&id=32D321893621AD269FF0B087DE6FA7EE2C164399&thid=OIP.u7KFToaW1HytO7LmjL4ZlwHaJ4&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fs-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com%2foriginals%2fbb%2fb2%2f85%2fbbb2854e8696d47cad3bb2e68cbe1997.jpg&exph=760&expw=570&q=praying+hands+intarsia+pattern&simid=608004016652226343&selectedIndex=0&ajaxhist=0 https://intarsia.com/collections/all-patterns/products/i-151-chihuahua-scottie God Bless! 23. Another fine example of your expertise, Paul, I love that pattern but, don't now if I want to tie myself down to that much fretwork again, yet. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  24. You did a great job, Ralph, Personally I cannot imagine cutting that with a #9 or even a #7 for that matter. Since you mention that a non-scroller wouldn't notice the thickness difference, maybe you're just being too hard on yourself. I know we all shoot for perfection but, sometimes we have to give ourselves a little break. Great work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  25. Hi, Kevin, You seem to have gotten a few different ideas but, in my honest opinion, I think all you really have to do is slow your scroll saw speed down, then slow your feed rate down accordingly and just follow the line of your circle to get the 1/4" or so lip that you like around your finished piece. Since you asked, I will state that I do not care too much for the square backer for a round clock. God Bless! Spirithorse
