  1. Very, very nice, Wayne, Before you alter the pattern, Dan didn't actually say add a loon but, he said add a loon CALL for the ambience. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

    Mugs

Thanks for th reply, Terry! I am even more impressed that you can be that accurate with the scrollsaw and sanding on a circular object like that. I have only tried one scrollsaw bowl (pattern by Russell aka Birchbark) and had to sand forever. Of course, that is a little different since you are drilling and cutting at an angle. Your mugs are absolutely outstanding! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

    Mugs

Beautiful! I imagine you probably had to turn the mug shape on a lathe to get that great shape, correct? God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Fantastic work, as always, Jim, It's amazing how much difference the addition of the walnut around the puppy's eye makes. Do you also have to inlay the think whiskers on the kitten? Just my curiosity. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  5. Very nice project! Congratulations on your new inlay knowledge. God Bless! Spirithorse
  6. Great cutting but, I personally do not like doing fretwork on dark wood. That is just my opinion. I think it is harder to see than if lighter wood was used. Please do not take this as too critical, it is just one person's opinion. God Bless! Spirithorse
  7. Great work and I too was going to mention that Russell really deserves credit for helping with so many pattern requests. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  8. Hi, Brad, Sorry to hear of the health problems. You and your wife are in our prayers and my wife and I could use prayers for our health problems also, please. God Bless! Spirithorse
  9. Hi, Dick, I'm just wondering what you glued your Lord's Prayer pattern to for the backer, please? I've had the letters and enough trim for one project cut for a few days but, am not finding any suitable backer of the right size. I'll probably end up buying 1/2" plywood unless you have a good alternative. God Bless! Spirithorse
  10. Absolutely beautiful, Dave, I certainly envy your talent! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

  16. Some members use WB lacquer. The WB is simply Water Based.
  17. I designed a family crest for my fore-man/supervisor at work and one for my mother's side of the family but, they are in Intarsia style and I have not cut either of them yet. Our family is very interested in the family genealogy. God Bless! Spirithorse
  18. Nice work, Dan, I made two recently just because I wanted something to do and these are cheap enough to make a couple as gifts. One of mine turned out acceptable (Not as precise as yours) and I threw the other away because it was too crooked. Great work on yours. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  19. Congratulations on the saw, Dick, and glad to hear you're going to be around more. God Bless! Spirithorse
  20. Hi, Sam, Looking at the pics, I think you are being too hard on yourself. The fuzzies on your puzzle can easily be sanded off by hand, with a palm sander or with a mop sander. The project definitely isn't too fragile like lots of fretwork can be. The arrows on the last photo look like you must have let the wood come off the table surface and the blade gouged the wood. Other than that, I think the advise on some reverse tooth blades may help a lot with a steady feed rate into the blade. God Bless! Spirithorse
  21. Nicely done, Kevin, Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  22. Nice work, Kevin, but, I think I'd clamp that router or dremel in a vice with some wood faces on the vice to protect you and the router. Or, clamp the projects and keep the dremel in your hand! God Bless! Spirithorse
  23. Thanks for the pics! Nice looking projects. God Bless! Spirithorse
