  4. Nice work, Luis, I really like the vertical hat racks like you have made. Perhaps you should have inserted a cap to show how they look in the hat racks. If anyone is interested you can see photos here: https://www.touchofclass.com/cap-display-rack/p/T374-002/?code=EMB04&color=Classic Cherry&size=Double&msclkid=363317aa8e001ab18ed34c831831fbf6 God Bless! 8. I used to love the Deft spray also but, have not seen it available in this area for a long time. Now I use either Rustoleum which says it is a crystal clear enamel or Krylon which their web-site says is a clear acrylic. Both are fast drying. The Krylon says on the can non-yellowing and, although not stated on the can, I have not had any problems with iRustoleum yellowing either. The last time I bought Rustoleum because they now have a 15 ounce can cheaper than the 12 ounce can of their own product or the 12 ounce can of Krylon. There are lots of warnings about health issues like cancer, nerve disorders, birth defects and respiratory problems with both of these products but, that seems to be normal with practically any of these type products. God Bless! Spirithorse
  9. Nice looking projects, Brian! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  10. Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  11. As Melanie said, intarsia can use lots of small pieces and some of the common wood can be used as shims in intarsia. Also, there are lots of jewelry patterns that can be as small as you can cut on the the scroll saw. God Bless! Spirithorse
  12. Welcome to the forum, Rob, Looking forward to seeing your projects. God Bless! Spirithorse
  13. Welcome to the forum, Rick, Thanks for the pic. Nice project. And thanks for the nice introduction. You've found a nice, friendly group of knowledgeable people here that are happy to help out with any questions and your input is just as valuable as any of the most senior members. God Bless! 14. Hi, I ran across the post from Phantom Scroller and it does say the letters and scissors are to be cut and then glued onto the backer. The pattern can also be altered as you and the other replies have suggested if bridges are added. God Bless! Spirithorse
  15. Those are absolutely beautiful! Personally, the painting really detracts from all your hard work on the scrolling but, looking at the projects is like seeing a stunning painting and I would be proud to hang one in my home. I guess it depends on what the customer really wants. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  16. Nice work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  17. Thank you! As an honorably discharged veteran I really appreciate it when someone takes time to say thank you for your service. I have just recently begun wearing a Navy Ball Cap quite a bit and a lot of people do react favorably. God Bless! Spirithorse
  18. Hi, Ray, Since it is a basket that will not be cut into or anything, I would just use rattle can Polyurethane. It is going to dry hard, have a nice finish still showing the wood grain, and no one is going to get any measurable amount (if any at all) from taking a dinner roll or piece of fruit from the basket. God Bless! Spirithorse
  19. I've done several Jeff Zaffino patterns that were fragile, a large Lord's Prayer pattern that was challenging but, I think the hardest patterns for me were just small letters and numerals for Wedding Plaques that had the names and dates. Your mirrors are fantastic. God Bless! Spirithorse
  20. Nice work! Thank you for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  21. Greetings, Welcome to the forum, Aris, A lot of people place pieces of rubber, carpet, or cardboard under the scroll saw and clamp or bolt it to a sturdy scroll saw stand. You can also put weight such as sand bags on the scroll saw stand itself on bottom cross members of the stand to help reduce vibration. I hope to see some of your projects when you can show us. Good luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
  22. Thanks for the reply, Duke! Nice work! God Bless! Spirithorse
  23. Atta boy Dick! I think you did very well. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  24. Hi, Fish, I'm not incredibly computer savvy but, does your computer system have BACK UP AND RESTORE or RECOVERY DRIVE built into the system that does automatic back-ups? If you let some members know what system you are operating, you may get some tech savvy help. God Bless! Spirithorse
  25. Great work, Duke, Can you tell me where the first two patterns are available, please? God Bless! Spirithorse
