First off let me start by thanking all of the pattern designers here at the Village, without you all there would not be all these great free patterns to cut. Second I would like to thank those individuals who post ideas about new patterns, shuch as I would like to see this type of pattern. These ideas give, at least me, insperation to make new and interesting patterns of things that I (us pattern designers) may not have thought of, or give us an unexpected twist on something we were thinking about. So please keep those ideas coming, regardless of how far fetch they may seem. Now the last thing I would like to say is, please, please, please give the pattern makers thanks for the patterns that they make and post for your use. These thanks and the love of pattern making, is what keeps many of us pattern makers going. Besides your comments and suggestions about the patterns we post, are what we use to judge the quality of our patterns, pushes us to improve the quality of our patterns, and gets us to try new styles of pattern making. So please say thanks and comment about the patterns that are posted. This is something that I have to improve on myself. So give a thanks and a forum hug to a pattern maker today.

Travis, I have not seen that pattern any place. I understand what you are saying, that is for sure and will keep my eyes open for you.

Here is my take on it. I would make sure that you have a written agrement with each designer, just to protect yourself. Second, I know there is a way to "lock" a page if you will. Where if someone tries to copy a picture the copy function will not work. I have seen this on some sites, now what the code is for that I have no idea. The other thing is that you post only low res. pictures that are small in size, while this will not prevent theft, it will help deter it.

Scott, welcome to the Village. I think you have found one of the best spots on the net when it comes to scrolling. We offer how too's, classes, and all kinds of information that you will find helpful, not to mention some of the best free patterns you can find on the net. There is alot of knowledge running around our village so make sure you tap into it by asking questions and by getting involved. You can have custom patterns made for you by our many talented pattern designers. So glad that you found us and I hope I see you strolling along our little village avenues.

That ring sizer is a great resource, I downloaded it. Now to get the time to try it I got so much on my plate it is unreal, got to get baby furniture built, start building my boat, finish up my book, get the unending honey do list done, aggggg it just never ends.

I like the idea. I like to bounce ideas off of folks live when I have a project coming up, it tends to help with my creative process. I also like joking around and getting to know folks as well.

Thanks for the welcome back all. I have missed being here. Now I have got to get busy in the shop cleaning it up so I can start making furniture for my Grandson who is due to arrive in Feb. It has been so long since I have made a pattern I am afraid to try again. But I am sure I will find something to pattern along the way and get back into it. Later

Well I have finally finished the schooling/training I needed to finish for my new job, and I am hopefully back now that I have (I hope) a set schedule that is subject to change. I am hoping that as I settle into my new routine I can spend more time here and in my shop. I thought you all would like to know that I am back and I will be spending the next few days trying to catch up on everything that has gone one here while I have been out of pocket.
