  1. Ok here is my attempt at making a puzzle pattern with a picture I took. I hope this works for someone. I am not a puzzle kind of guy, but I know that there are a number of you out there, so if you try to cut this please let me know how it works out for you. I will be more than happy to make some more puzzle patterns like this if this one works out. Edited to add this: I made this big so you can create the size puzzle you want, so make sure you resize it to the size you want your puzzle to be.
  2. Barry I picture of a clean shop is a picture of an unused shop, lets see it in all of it glory, what you call a mess.
  3. Hey Kepy you could always bring that floor model down to me, I will make sure it gets some use. As a mater of fact it would have been real handy to have had for the 3-in-1 bed I am building.
  4. So glad we were able to help you out. I am by far no puter guru, just passing on what I have learned from my trail and errors.
  5. Kevin, Like Grampa said, it is at it largest size already. If you want it to be larger you will have to upload a larger size of the picture. the size you have uploaded is small. I am assuming that you took the original picture and made it smaller when you saved it.
  6. Dan, so glad you found us here at the village, welcome, welcome welcome

  8. mine is in my shop, currently put away on a shelf while I build a much larger project. But once I go to sawing with it it goes right onto my work bench. Sorry no pictures to post of it right now.
  9. A number of programs have a save for web option. Which will make the file the right size for the internet.
  10. Patti, welcome to the village, so glad you found us.
  11. Howdy John. So glad you found us here at the village. I think you will find alot of folks who know the ins and outs. You have probably found the best site there is IMHO, specially if you want to learn how to make patterns, not to mention I think we have some of the best pattern designers out there. Sl\o jump on in take a stroll through the village, let us know if you have any questions, suggestions, jokes, or what ever. Again welcome to the village.
  12. I am going to try to be there, but I may miss it because I will be in the shop working on that 3-in-1
  13. So glad you found us here at the Village. I think you are right when you say that you think you will find lots of support here. There is an old African saying that it takes a village to raise a child (or something like that), well here it is It takes a village to scroll By the way Floridagramps I Live in Florida myself (Up in the panhandle area) and this deep freeze we got going on sucks.
  14. When you are buying a tool such as this you need to ask how often you are going to use it? If it is going to be used often get the Dewalt. But if it is not going to be used often and only a little to moderate use then the ryobi should do just fine. But the first rule is to always get as much tool as you can. Now do you have to have a Jointer to be used with a planer? The short answer to that is NO. As has been mentioned you can join using your router mounted in a router table. So the question is are you going to be jointing wood together on edge? If the answer is yes I will be doing that alot, then you may want to think about getting yourself a jointer. If the answer is yes but I will not be doing that often then you may want to hold off and use the router method, or if you have a well tuned table saw, use your table saw. So answer the questions How often will I be doing this operation? Do I plan on doing this operation more and more in the future? How much money do I have to spend? (if you will be doing the operation alot and don't have enough to get a good to high quality machine, the save for it) This is just my 2 cents
  15. Well we are ONE YEAR OLD . Now that is exciting. Lets see what we can do this coming year. Lets see what new and interesting content we can come up with and see if we can't grow by lets say 50% or better by the time we are 2. I can't wait to see what this new year brings.
  16. Welcome to the village. There are a few folks here from across the pond (as we like to say) there maybe some close to you. We have a chat time set up for you all, so make sure you drop in and say hi, maybe you will find someone close enough too you where you can get together locally.
  17. PAUPAU, welcome to the village my fellow Florida resident. I am up in the Northwest area of Florida myself in a small town called Crestview. Glad to have you here and I am sure you will find that there are a bunch of helpful types here.
  18. Howdy and welcome. So glad that you found our little village in this great big world wide web. I think that you have found one of the best scrolling sites around that offers more than most others do. I also think that you are in the right spot being that you are new to the dust making world of scrolling. Make sure you ask lots of questions when you don't know something, cause it sure will save alot of time, money and headaches, because there are alot of folks here who love to share their experiences and to help out the beginner and the old hand. Again welcome to the village.
  19. I like this, I might have to try something along this line myself. I guess I will have to but the old thinking cap on.
  20. That looks great, even if you might need a little practice with the camera snd welcome back to the great hobby of saw dust.
  21. Al and Toni, Glad to see you made it over here, I think that this site in combination with the other site I know that you belong too, you will find that there is not much need to belong to any other sites. We have so much too offer here at the village I think you will enjoy your visits here. Take a stroll around the village and check everything out. Let us know if there is something you would like to see.
  22. Frank, we are so glad that you found us here in our little village. If you need any help with anything just ask and by all means help out where ever you can.
  23. How long are you waiting after it gets to that point. Alot of downloads will verify its down load prior to saying complete. Other than that I have no idea.
  24. For me it would be a good band saw, so I can resaw wood, That is one ability I am really missing in my shop
  25. When it comes to woodworking as a whole, Furniture Making is what I really enjoy doing, as for Scroll Saw work I am a portrait cutter. Now my pattern making is what keeps me connected to woodworking and scrolling specifically, cause I just can't afford to do much in the shop.
