Well done Bob, you certainly captured his image. Len
  3. Charley, they all look fantastic, I like cutting these little fellas also. Len
  4. Looks nice Jim, I own a copy that pattern book, I must give it another look over. Len
  5. Neat idea Dan. Len
  6. Nicely done Kris, it looks fantastic. Len
  7. Larry, it's a good looking cutting, but, I'm not all that thrilled with your finish. It may be just the pics, but, to me, the interior cuts don't look as if they have a finish on them. The presentation is super, I'll have to try to remember it. What did you do to finish this, I mean how did you go about finishing it? For items like this one, I like to dip them in the finish, rather than spray or brush a finish on. Len
  8. I was thinking the same as Marg, the white corian does make it look like a real shell. Well done, I can imagine the dust storm from all of the sanding. Len
  9. Nicely done Helmut, there's lots of detail to this one. Len
  10. Well done Helmut, the spots on the leopard would do me in. Both pieces are exceptional, you are an outstanding scroller. Len
  11. Dave, I lay all of my thin stock flat with weight on the top, this helps keep it flat until I want to use it. After I've made something out of it, I make sure to treat both sides of the project. If I have any amount of thin stock, I usually sticker pile it and leave it unsanded. Doing what I do seems to help, or, at least I think it does as I have very little stock that warps. Len
  12. Beautiful piece Ron, I've intended to make one myself for some time now. Just haven't gotten around to it as of yet, but, I will someday. Len
  13. Nicely done Pete, are you going to be adding a finish to this? Len
  14. Cute, the little Minion is really something else. I'd hate to cut out many of them at that size, it would be to easy to lose the small pieces. Len
  15. Well done Dan, it's almost impossible to see where you drilled the entrance holes. Len
  16. Nice looking coins Randy, what type of blade do you use? Do you only use Silver coin? Len
  17. Scott, if it's only for an hour, you won't have enough time for much of a show and tell. You'll have to be set-up in advance, or you won't have much time for ask and tell after you go over a couple of items you want to cover. I did a show like this once, it was to be an hour long. Forget that, it took 5 hrs to answer all the questions, and to allow everyone to try out the saw. They were so interested, that they went out and bought me lunch so that I would stay longer. It was a good time, and a couple of them took up the hobby. Blink, and your hours gone. Len
  18. Larry, I like the concept, but, I don't like how long the stem of the leaf is. Personally, I don't like the way it projects so far out over main frame. Len
  19. Nicely done Doc. Len
  20. Nicely done Helmut, she's a good looking cowgirl. Len
  21. Nicely done, what's the size of it? Len
  22. Well done Dick, it looks fantastic. Len
  23. Nice solution. Len
  24. Wowsa Rusty, what a beautiful cutting, you definitely got all there was to get out of that pattern. Impressive! Len
  25. Jerry, why not just cut three copies of the pattern? Essentially, that's what your already doing, it's just that your cutting one good copy, and two copies to waste. If you don't want to be bothered sanding the bottom copy, sure cut it out of waste wood. But, there's no reason your two top copies couldn't be kept. Len
