  1. Well done, you've done a great job hiding most of the drill holes. Len
  2. Jerry, if it's for self use, I'd go ahead and make the pattern and cut it out. It's a different story, if you want to sell any of them. Len
  3. I'm very curious as to what your problem might be, please keep us informed. Len
  4. Earl, you made this from scratch? Wow, you did one heck of a job, I can't imagine trying to work with pine needles. Do you use green needles, or do you allow them to dry a bit before using them? I've cut out this hummer before, but, not for anything like this. It's really one to be proud of. Len
  5. Nice looking piece, you did a fantastic job cutting the letters. Good luck with the new job, I know what your going through btdt and it can be a bit scary and depressing. Len
  6. Pete, that's a great repurposing of scraps, it's far better than burning them. Len
  7. Beautiful results Dick, I haven't mastered the spiral blades as of yet. I am going to try to learn how to cut with the before long, cause some patterns require you to use them. Len
  8. David, I do a lot of fretwork sawing, to sand it I use a detail sander, the type that take a triangular shaped sanding pad. It works great, and I have never had anything get broken from sanding it this way. Len
  9. Good luck with your new saw Jim, I'm sure you'll enjoy using it. Len
  10. Nicely done Dick, that's a tidy bit of segmentation. Len
  11. Nicely done Ralph, especially the crosses with the colored glass background. I like the puzzle also, but, it does look like it would have a pretty weak spot where it attaches to the truck. Len
  12. Two great looking pieces Fish, that wolf pattern of Seyit's is really something else. Len
  13. Nicely done, the little puzzle is cute. Len
  14. A cutting to be proud of, for sure. I'm wondering if, your friend will appreciate all of the work you put into making this. It's impressive, thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  15. John, your to be commended for your generosity. What a great cause, it's a great thing your doing for these kids. May God bless you, for all that you've done over the years. Len
  16. To stack cut I use 1/8"bb, first I cut the wood to size, then I sand the face of each piece. Then I use spring clamps to hold the layers together, next I work my way around the perimeter with a glue gun. The nice thing about using a glue gun, is that the glue can be removed easily. After gluing things together, I apply the pattern using spray glue. Then I drill all of the holes for blade insertion, after that, I sand the back piece to remove any whiskers. Lastly, I proceed on to the cutting of the pattern. How you remove the pattern is up to you, you must be used to doing that part. Especially if, your attempting to stack cut portraits. Len
  17. Nice new saw, enjoy. Len
  18. I like to use the 1/8"bb, I find the 1/4"bb leaves more shadow on the backer board than I like. Len
  19. Thanks Dick, it was an interesting clip. Len
