  1. The KY tax man shows up at all the craft shows to collect your information. If you don't file they can track you down. I have seen people show up two hours late to avoid the tax man. I have no problem paying my fair share but they sure put the stick eye on you if you start asking them questions. I would rather pay the tax man at the end of each show than at the end of the year (or quarterly). I'll probably close my Etsy store when they start enforcing tax collection. If the federal and government wants me to collect taxes for them I think I'll send them a bill for me doing their job.
  2. Welcome to the Village Nathan. Please share photos of your projects when you have time.
  3. Welcome aboard Shane. Lots of talent here so feel free to ask questions.
  4. Jay has some good tips. I'll just add to watch grain direction too. Watch some videos and practice.
  5. Very nicely done.
  6. Welcome back!
  7. Welcome to the Village! If I could find that Hawk locally for that price I would definitely check it out.
  8. Yup.
  9. Welcome to The Village! Great job on the great blue heron.
  10. Welcome to the Village Rick! Love the puzzle. Your talents in other mediums should transfer nicely to woodworking and scrolling.
  11. Double-bevel cutting would work also.
  12. Fantastic! You and Jan made an awesome team.
  13. Great job Kevin. For a minute I thought you got another yellow machine.

  15. You've got it! Great job.
  16. For those of us who have lost family and friends in battle it is a day of reflection and remembrance. Not all of our holidays are happy. But I appreciate the thought.
  17. Welcome to the Village! I agree with Spirithorse.
  18. All I can say is if you feel it's wrong it probably is. If you feel no one is getting hurt by you making one then go for it.
  19. Great job on the eyes and nose.
  20. Awesome! Great job all around.
  21. Great way to make birch plywood look terrific! Way to go.
  22. I agree with Dan (dgman), no stain, just glue or screw then apply clear finish. The contrast of walnut and oak look great. Of course, opinions are like... well, you know.
  23. Welcome to The Village! We are a village of helpful people.
  24. Great to have you aboard! Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
