  1. Wonderful! I love those crosses.
  2. If the blade or bandsaw manufacturer recommends it, it is probably best. They are the experts.
  3. You guys are killing... and I love your humor.
  4. Apples and oranges.
  5. Well Roly, I thought it was more like "going out on a limb".
  6. Some simple ornament hangers on the cheap. Sorry for the bluuy pics.
  7. Me too. Nothing personal against folk who write long posts but skip them if the first two sentences don't get to the point.
  8. For the type of puzzles Scott mentioned, I dip in 50/50 mix of blo and mineral spirits. For poplar the mix soaks in pretty quick and after about 10 minutes I wipe off excess.

    Very cool!
  10. On my tablet if I type in the response window and leave it without posting it saves what I wrote. The next time I click in any response window the text that I typed earlier reappears. I think that's a feature on this site for mobile devices.
  11. Peeps are to eat. Those have extra fiber.
  12. Cool!
  13. Wonderful!
  14. I've been using Pegas MG #7 for compound cuts with no troubles. Depending on the wood one ornament takes 10 to 20 minutes. I've used #5 also without breaking them but they cut slower in thick wood.
  15. Almost definitely box elder. Try sanding to 120 grit then apply a coat of sanding sealer. It's a clear lacquer that helps seal porous wood. Then sand with 180 and 220 grit. Then apply your rattle can finish. Just follow the directions on the can of sanding sealer. Pre-stain is different and won't work as well.
  16. I've used rice paper before. Also, if you are making it for yourself and use a LED you can gather by with regular printer paper, but rice paper will last longer.
  17. Welcome to the Village!
  18. Lovely creation. You did very well.

    Welcome aboard!
  20. The power tools that are they most dangerous, in my opinion, are my table saw, jointer, and planer. Those are in the garage and I only use them when I can take them outdoors. If power goes out and comes back on too quick the table saw would be very scary. Other tools in the basement, not so scary. So, during a thunderstorm I'll still scroll. Unless it's really bad then I sit at the window and enjoy the excitement outdoors.
  21. I wish you the best and will keep you in my prayers for a successful surgery.
  22. Welcome to The Village! I like your idea of combining art forms. What you want to do is very doable and sounds interesting. I can't wait to see the outcome.
  23. Not for me. Easy on, easy off. And no glue, finish, or grease (when working on the cars).
  24. Gloves.
  25. Go to account>account settings. On the left you should see signature. Click on that.
