    Nice pattern.There's a daughsunt rescue in town here and i met the lady as she lives across the street from my friend . i donated some daughsunt scroll work to her for their fund raiseing sales.This one will go too.Thanks ,Oges!

Thanks ken i be happy to show the completed kitty.One thing i can do is spray glue soft foam rubber ,like on cushions and shape it with a wire wheel on a hand held grinder.I did this for a hot pepper 4 foot long with 2 shelves in it .the customer walked up to me one day and out of the blue said ."i know who you are and i know what you can do and proceeded to tell me about a wall hanging red hot pepper he wanted built.So a hundred bucks later he had the red tinted fiberglass over foam rubber with a green stem hot pepper.Thank you brett ,Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,glad you like the idea.i'll have to get the picture copyed to a place i can post it of the hot pepper soon .Clayton will like that ,he's a hot pepper kind of guy!thank you Travis ,a little humor goes a long way when the mind goes on rerun of the days highlights!

    thank you Grampa .both me and the wife love cats but don't have one till now.Wisconsin rail fan allowed me to modifie his kitty .I've wanted to make this sort of thing along time and now found the puurfect pattern .The wife did'nt see it yet and i might be in the dog house for it ,stay tuned for that.lol.not sure if it'll be a tabby or some other easy to paint kitty.Got any ideas?

    David, i'll try anything once.But i do cheat! lol.i would love to do this one before november 12th if i could get permission,what say you.That took some real tallent to do.I do have an electric hand saw 20".The only other one i ever seen was on steve goods sight a few day ago from a craft show he was at.I don't know if the other one was done by hand.I'll bet when tony finished his he had a smile that crossed texas !tThat's real scrolling determination.

    Thanks Brett ,Clayton and Marg,your comments are very welcome and they britend my day alot.I have another one patterned and ready to cut seeing's as this one sold so quick.I havent had sales in a while.all the credit goes to grampa .Without his undieing efforts it would have never happened .that you grampa,your the best!

    Thank you Steven i wanted to count them but they would turn to sheep after 50 or 60 and put me to sleep. but here's a picture of how many ,mikes work shop spirals with flat ends made the job so easy .Best i can tell 247 drill holes!

LOOKS LIKE SHE WAS MOVEIN RIGHT ALONG,A THREE POINTER ON THE WATER!I WENT THROUGH A 1/2 BAG OF POPCORN WATCHIN THE PICTURES ,NEXT TIME INCLUDE SOME SOUND.I LOVE THE DRONE!

    VERY GOOD CUTTING ,MAJIC.KITTY LOOKS LIKE SHE WANTS TO SAY SOMETHING.YOU DID A GREAT JOB TRYING TOO, HIDEING THE DRILL ENTRE HOLES ON THE WHISKERS.SOMETIMES I WON'T CUT SOMETHING BECAUSE OF ENTRE HOLES ARE TO UNSIGHTLY.I'VE NEVER FIGURED OUT HOW TO HIDE THEM CLEANLY.GOOD JOB ON THE PROJECT.!

    MY GUESS IS THE BLADE IS IN UPSIDE DOWN HAPPENS TO ME ALOT! :)I KNOW YOU SAID IT'S IN RIGHT BUT TURN IT AND TRY AGAIN ,NOTHING TO LOSE BUT SECONDS. WHEN MY SCROLLING DOE'SNT GO RIGHT IT'S ALLWAYS THE BLADE IN UPSIDEDOWN AND THAT'S THE LAST THING FOR ME TO THINK ABOUT.I USE ALOT OF THIN WOOD!rEVERSE BLADES ARE ONE OF MYFAVORITE TOO.

    Looks good ART did you use a real router or a dremil router for the edges .I'm curious if the dremil will do thick wood,thanks.the hans are your own design? there my favorite.

    Hi susieq,i would try takeing miniscule amounts of wood off at a time to minimise the kick back.I think maybe they are talking about the wood separating from it's self as on end wood is easyer to chip away rather than being cut.Myself i would do it a hair at a time ,i never knew about that but it makes sence.Just like splitting a log from the end rather than lenght wise.I was concidering a planer in the future and i'm glad you brought this to my attention.I can see how much you enjoy your work and safety is allways first period!

    STEVEN,how you doin,I spoke to grizzley tools .com and they know how enthused you are about your yellow bird you ordered and said for them to expedite your order post haste.lol.My guess is as good as any but i would think that 3/8 is the thickness of wood you should use so it looks it's best.Now the backing could be colored paper ,which i use alot cause it's low cost.cloth backing could be glued on paper for the outline of the project ahead of time so when your ready for it ,it's cut and trimed to size allready and makes a neet fit.A rectangular very thin mirror is an easy shape to cut and a snap to break,just sand the edges.Or make a frame to house the mirror in what ever shape the mirror allready is and place your project on it.An example is a square mirror in an oval frame thats big enough to hide the squareness of the mirror ,so you don't have to cut it then as a quick fix.hope it helps some.Very good questions! thanks!

    Hello SUSIEQ,I'm lost for words.But i will say this ,that i;m astonished at what you do.This type of work,mesmerizes me.It's like the guys here at ssv with their celtic knot pens.I'm dumbfonded at the wherewithal of it.What happens to the center cut out piece,another bowl?What a high tec shop you have.Can these be turned out with minimal tools and just more labor?I'll have to find the video of how this all come about.Right now i feel like a mushroom in the dark.Seems like alot of work for the little money your asking for the bowls.Roughly how long to do a simple bowl?I just took a deep breath thinging about all this Whew!Nice Nice work SUSIEQ

    Hi Steven , go to grizzley .com and look at the dewalt there. .You'll save allmost two hundred for the stand,light and saw and i think ,maybe the shipping is free.

    hi STEVEN ,Can't help about your choice of saws ,but you got to start somewhere and they all will get the job done.Hopefully that saw will take plain ended blades not pinned.Pinned are much more expensive, but not as disireable for detail work.Pinned ended blades need a large hole for the blade to slide into your wood.doing keychains like on steve goods site they will not go into the a's ,b's,d's,o's p's,q's ,w's letters.lots of fret work you'll have the same problem .So for a learner saw i would get one that can use both type of blades.Reaching back to adjust the saw tention is exausting especially changeing holes every 20 seconds doing keychains.You can allways keep it as a back up saw when your permanet saw needs repair.That's a sad day for all of us to be with out a saw.
