  1. THANK YOU for all the nice remarks, it was a very important project for me and the extra time I put in was well worth it. MERRY CHRISTMAS
  2. I just wanted to share this newest project of the Nativity that I completed today. The pattern is by Steve Good and I jacked it up a little for a special customer. The frame is made from Poplar scraps I get from a local cabinet shop, the Mary and Joseph image and the base are cut fron 5/8 inch Cherry and I also used Cherry for the corner splines on the frame. The tiny LED fairy lights are sewn to a dark blue fabric to simulate the night time journey. Our customer LOVES it. Thanks for looking.MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.
  3. Hi Travis, it's 12:00 noon on Thanksgiving Day and I;m attempting to purchase your Personalized Ornament Kit through PayPal. I get a message that PayPal is not working and I should try again, which I have. I will continue to try through the weekend, hopefully I am not doing some thing wrong. I hope you and your family enjoy the holiday!
  4. THANK YOU, Travis. You are generous to a fault. I am going to purchase this package and try my best to learn inkscape. Wishing you and your family a Blessed Thanksgiving and the best of the holiday season.
  5. Outstanding work John. A real craftsman!!!
  6. Thank you all for the very nice replies.
  7. ANGUS was a Black Lab who was born to hunt. He was owned by a very good friend of mine, but thought he belonged to the world...if you pet him once, you were there for a long time. Angus was an incredible bird dog who we swear could tell when Joey was getting the shotgun out, he sat right next to the tailgate of the truck until they left for the field. I am not a hunter, but to see him work a pheasant field was unbelievable. The base and the frame are made from recycled poplar, the hunter is cherry and the pheasant is 1/16 inch sapele, his name is Black Walnut, the darkest wood I had. We all miss ANGUS, but Joey is devastated, I made this for him to remember his best friend.
  8. Thank you all for the support and compliments. Due to things going on in the real world, I don't get on my computer or down to my shop very often, so I have been remiss on answering your remarks. Jim...I used a PEGAS #2 and I had to slow the stroke down as far as possible to stop any melt back. I didn't sandwich the vinyl, I just Blue Taped it, but the one I am trying to do now is sandwiched between to pieces of matboard, I am a custom framer and have a bunch of scrap pieces. Thanks to all for looking.
  9. Great job on all the boxes John. If I could only.......... Never mind.
