  1. Outstanding work John, the cutting is flawless and the finish is second to none. I would be interested in making a few of these boxes. Have you everposted a tutorial on your build process, if not would you consider it? Thanks for sharing your fine work.
  2. Thank you Falcon. I was looking in portraits.
  3. Hi everyone, I am trying to finish a job and i need a portrait of B B King. I went to the pattern vault and can't figure out how to do a search, I seem to think I saw a portrait of BB King on here at one time. Any help will be appriciated.
  4. Nice clean job on the cut and the pattern. Letters are the most unforgiving things to cut and it looks like you nailed it. Thank you for sharing the pattern.
  5. And a very fine job you did Jim. Like you, when I was a younger man, I loved my beer---Doc says no more.
  6. Real nice job Don. LaCrosse is getting to be a really popular high school sport.
  7. Awesome job Dave. You don't need a CNC.....YOU ARE ONE.
  8. Thank you all for the help. It looks like Ray is the winner, I ordered the tubes that he found on Amazon. Jim, thanks for the lead on Spangler, they have some nice products. The tubes were longer than any other place I looked at, but I don't like the plastic caps and their shipping charges are way out of line. Melanie, thanks for sending the information on the test tubes that you found. I hope everyone has a great day. THINK SPRING!!!
  9. Hi everyone, I don't even know if that's the correct name for these tubes. I ordered some on Amazon and was disappointed when they came in, it was my fault because I obviously didn't read the complete advertisement. I wanted these to store my scroll saw blades in, but they were only 4 1/2 inches long, and we need at least 5 inches, the ones that were delivered to me were very sturdy and I'm sure they wouldn't break if they hit the floor. I would also like use these to store some specialty brad point drill bits, it would prevent the sdges of the drill bits from banging together. I'm sure I read on one of the forums that someone orderd them and the blades fit perfectly, this old brain doesn't want to cooperate in helping me find them on the internet. Than you in advance for any help finding these really nice tubes with screw on caps (Soda Bottles).
  10. Nice job, Jim. Very creative use of a wood slab.
  11. Nice coasters---GREAT inlay work. Anyone would be happy to own those.
  12. Real nice job on your wifes gift. Will outlast roses for sure. Steve is so generous.
  13. Dave, they will be SINGING your praises at the Jazz Festival for sure. Nice job once again.
  14. Don, THANK YOU for the pattern. You did a real nice job on the one you cut.
  15. I really like what you did with the pattern, that bowl will undoubtedly POP when you hit it with the Watco. Not a fan of the desert, but you look mighty comfortable.
  16. Great job! Your sweetie is going to LOVE it.
  17. Thanks for looking everybody, and thanks for the nice comments. Rick
  18. Hi Dave, I guess you heard it all so far, but let me add this. You should keep the box because you are the real superman on this project. Outstanding craftsmanship.
  19. I finished this name train today and it will be delivered tomorrow. The wood is red oak and it was from a tree that fell down in a neighbors yard about 4 years ago, someone slabbed it and it was in pretty bad shape. I ran it throught my drum sander to flatten one side then went to the planer to thickness it to just under 3/4 inch. I applied 2 coats of Watco oil and then our friend Rattle Can Lacquer. Benji's birthday was put on the caboose using vinyl letters, the finished piece is about 40 inches long. We hope the next baby our friends have will be named something like Al or Tom. This is a variation of one of Steve Good's patterns---Thank you Steve.
  20. REALYYYYYYY nice Don.
  21. Thank you for the advice Kevin. I'll try that when I get to cut the Corvette.
  22. Sorry Rocky, I am going to call in the big guns to either get this computer to cooperate or take it out behind the chicken coup and shoot it. I hope I can solve this soon !970 Yenko Nova
  23. Hey Jim, this one's for you. Once again, thank you for your help. I changed the bottom, I thought the wrench looked kool under the car. I cut the image from a nice piece of Cherry, 2 coats of Watco Oil and rattle can laquer. The lettering is vinyl, and he was very happy with it. Hope this works, I have never post a picture before. I am slave to my computer. !970 Yenko Nova
  24. Thanks Ray. At least one of us can make the computer know who is boss.
  25. Very happy everyone who has interacted with this company has had the same great service as I did. I would really like to link this thread to them, but I jsut can't get this computer to know who is the boss. Thanks for all the nice replies.
