Very nicely done Pete. The happy couple will surely treasure your gift. Thanks for sharing.
Is that your pattern, or can you share where it is available?

Marie, here in the Hudson Valley, the BIG ORANGE store occasionally will have poplar that has a light purple vein. It does darken to almost black if left unfinished for a little while. I was told the reason for the color in the poplar is due to the minerals in th soil, so I guess as the saying goes, "Your mileage May Vary"
Good luck in your search.

@don in brooklin onHi Don, thanks for the compliments.
The font I used is DOLF, I did it in inkscape, it was very painful and I'msure I couldn't do it again.

Rich, what a handsome little guy you were blessed with, he certainly will only have to ask grandpa for a new toy and it will be there.
Love and good health to your daughter and your family.

Not sure where this should be posted, sorry if I put it in the wrong place.
I just finished this 3 layer wedding gift for a very special customer. It is a great Sue Mey pattern that I made some modifications to, I put the cross on a base and personalized it for the bride and groom. The face piece is Sugar Maple and the back piece is Purple Heart, the styalized arms for the cross are Cherry. I put it on a base of Sapele and the names were cut from Cherry. Thanks Sue, for a great pattern.
Thanks for looking.

Hey Don, NO WORRIES, my name is Rick.
I use that sign on because I live on the Beautiful Hudson River, about 70 miles north of the BIG APPLE.
Unfortunately, Manhattan has turned into a disgusting sewer, a great city lost.
Thanks for the information you sent to me.

Very nice gesture on your part Don, whoever is the lucky recipent will cherish them.
Could you please share where you got the pattern for the Last Supper in the palm of hands. Thank you.
Rick
So much TALENT. All these pieces are very inspiring and some make me try to go to the next step. Thank you all for sharing your amazing work!!!
Kris, I really like what you did with the old pickup truck, is that a one dimensionable or stacked piece???
Rick
I just made this for an unbeliveable lady who attends our weekly BINGO games. Our BINGO games are a fundraiser for the local Franciscan Friary and this amazing lady attends every week, because in spite of her trials, she belives that she should support the Friars. I will present this to her tomorrow and I hope it will make her day just a little bit happier.
What a mind this guy must have !!! That's probably one of the best examples of engineering a wooden model I've ever seen.
Oh, and for you tree huggers, no carbon foot prin/tire tracks.
Wishing all my friends here a BLESSED EASTER.
Rick
Nice job on the baseball gnome Don.
Is that your pattern and is it stacked pieces? I have seen a baseball gnome on pintrest and was wondering how to cut and assemble it.
Thanks for sharing your work, that will be a very popular piece.
