  1. He looked at the Bauer. We have several tools from HF and have never had a problem with any of them. I bought him a duel bevel chop saw that he uses all the time and he just loves it. Works perfectly.
  2. He is a hobby woodworker. He wants it to plan rough cut boards he buys from the Amish. Their lumber is so much cheaper price then the big box stores. Plus its just as good or better quality. It would get occasion use.
  3. Hubby is in the market for a wood planer. What would you suggest? Something that won't break the bank. IF he doesn't buy it by Christmas then I will get him one for Christmas. Thanks.
  4. Welcome to the Village. Lots of friendly helpful people here. Lots of patterns to work with. Any question ask away there is always someone who can help you out. Chelcass from Michigan.
  5. This news is heartbreaking. I am so sorry and sadden. When he said he didn't and wouldn't get the vaccine I became very worried. Please, Please those who have not gotten the vaccine please reconsider.
  6. Welcome back Chris. Glad your life has turned around for you. Best wishes to you and your lovely bride.
  7. Oh My, My cousin would have a heart attic if she heard you calling her painting a paint by number...................LOL She is a fairly well known artist in Rhode Island and she painted that for us several years ago.
  8. All the tiny things in my scenes are from E-bay, the only thing not is the Lighthouses which my husband had. What exact item are you referring to??
  9. Thanks Ray, Most of the figurines I found on E-bay, some at thrift shops and yard sales. The shells are from various beaches and the rock is from my neighbors corn field, The coffee cups are from yard sales.

  12. I joined Dec. 2010 after the other group I was active in closed down. some of those members are here also. I have a routine every morning I check in on all my groups. This is the first one I check. I don't always comment, most time I just read and move on. I have looked at the members list also and there are so many members who have joined and never posted or even done a *like*. I can only image what a job it would be to delete those people. Like Rocky I consider this *Home*. Judy
  13. Very nice. Have you seen the Girl Gnome Steve just did? She is super cute.
  14. Had it on the first picture.
  15. I happen to be looking thru Silhouette and found this guy. I couldn't resist cutting it.
  16. Found another Bigfoot pattern I just had to cut. Before and after paint, still have to frame him.
  17. Love him, I agree I like the smaller base better. Great job.
  18. Beautiful cutting Kevin.
  19. Found a nice frame at DT, worked perfectly for this guy. I need to take a better picture. He is actually straight in the frame.....................
  20. Update: Went over to Amazon and found 4 inch circles (I hate cutting circles) 24 pieces for 6.99 (29 cents each) Plus 4 inch square pieces 60 for $14.89 (.24 each). For those who make a lot of ornaments this might be something to look at. Now I have Prime so I get free shipping.
  21. I stopped by Hobby Lobby and found the same planks under a different brand name and they were $3.47. Did not buy, however I did buy the circles pictured. Same price just more bang for the buck. Plus I had a 40% off coupon so not too shabby.
  22. I did get them from Dollar Tree. Kevin is right they have other pre cuts which can be used for ornaments etc. I keep checking the website but they don't have them. I checked with our store manager and she said they flew out the door (as usual). Crafters Square is the brand that Dollar Tree carries. I expect them to get them back in in the next few months. I will keep checking. Thanks everybody for checking.
  23. Not really a fan of Red Oak I just bought it to try. Won't be buying any more. Not sure how I am going to mount this guy. I have two other who might join him.
  24. Question: What does everyone thing of Red Oak?? I cut this guy from Red Oak I just bought and talk about a pain in the butt. Very brittle! Used English oak stain.
  25. Finished this little guy up. Made a couple of changes and I am very happy with him.
