    I do a lot of compound cutting and I use a #5. Flying Dutchman Polar #5 or a Pegas #6 skip tooth is next. Softer wood I try a Ultra reverse as I like the smoother finish. For harder woods I find wrapping in box tape helps too. The real key is to go slower and not push too hard so the saw dust clears.

    You might want to check with your local library to see it they have them in the system. My library is a member of hoopla. On line reading library. I searched to scroll puzzles and there were a few there. It gives you a chance to review the book and to make sure you want to buy. You can not download the patterns or print out directly but there are ways around it if you want to spend the time.

    I would called Fox Chapels customer service. When I bought the last CD's they were supposed to ship via USPS but instead shipped via UPS. When I specifically asked if USPS ie postal service. It arrived at the door with a bill almost as much as the CD's . Customer service quickly offered a refund but I took it in a 2 year subscription. Their customer service is top notch.

    A good friend of mine is a die hard fan. Each October, he starts planning the parade and the party for the next Stanley Cup finals. By January, he is down to when the Liefs make the playoffs. We joke all the time about when the Leafs are going to win another Championship. I made this with a white board for the year. If they ever do, he can whip out the year and the pen is there. I just hope the pen has not dried out by then.

    Steve Goods pattern on Monday July 25th was called Word signs. 67 words with a backer. I was talking to my Granddaughter and she was interested for maybe doing some shirts on Circut. She asked what words were available and so I took the PDF and extracted the words and page numbers and also sorted alphabetically. I thought I would post the PDF here if anyone is interested. words with page number.pdf

    I use FD-UR #3 all the time. I have not had any issue with breaking and some I think would be a couple of years old. They get mixed in with new ones I have bought. Pete sent me some he got from Garnet Hall that he did not like. I tested on my EX-21 and then have used with my 101 coursed on DW788. Not a problem. Recently the blades were slipping out from the bottom blade holder. I did everything I could think of changed to pegas, removed bottom blade clamp and screw, reset, sanded the blades, degreased - still no change. I have an EX-21 and checked the arm was parallel to the table and it was out just a hair. reset and there has not been an issue since. Back to my favorite blade FD-UR.

    As you may have read about Alex fleeing from Ukraine to Latvia with basically nothing. Living in a hostel with his only source of income is his patterns. He is a great asset to the scrolling world and such a humble guy. One way, we as a village can help is for everyone to buy a pattern or two.     Kevin I have lots to do on the honey do list plus lots on projects half done. I have health issue that only lets me do scrolling for 15 minutes or so at a time. I just use it as an excuse for all the other stuff. I love to try and do patterns. I am still learning. My problem is that I am not an artist or have great imagination. I was sitting here watching the ball game and came up with this one. Your comments are appreciated.

    To me they definitely looked like Steve as his go to font is Cooper Black. The funny thing I had that pdf on my computer as I have cut the peace ornament on page 7 a number of times. I cut one for each of the volunteers at the local cancer support. Love it. Steve is the best. Being a Canadian the military ornaments go in one ear and out the other.     Great idea about the switch plate as Steve always has great graphics I gave it a shot as I have nothing else to do. Is this your idea or are you looking for bowling pins.

    It is fairly easy to do in Inkscape. The font is Cooper Black If you give me the initials you want I can do or I can send the blank of the ornament as svg or jpg.

    Programming note: If anyone has downloaded the PDF, it was created with Inkscape 1.2 using multipage option. It opens just fine in Acrobat but if you want to modify I have found that when I open it I get a grey desktop. I found that if you open new document and then import the PDF it gives you a clean SVG to modify. (you can delete blank page and the instructions with the page option- the bottom of the left tool bar)

    I use DecoArt® Snow Writer Paint. I get at Michaels Really fun stuff. I find it better to paint white under it.
