    Did you check under Document properties to make sure you are printing US letter. If I have it set to A4 when I print it will be just a smaller( about 1/4). Not sure if it is Inscape or my Lexmark printer. Don

    Here in Canada the cost of 1/8 BB used to be $16 for a 60x60 sheet. I just looked and the new price is $38.50. 1/4 inch doubled to 52.50. A good thing I stocked up. KJP hardwoods in Ottawa only has 1/8 in 12x20 at $3.05 so if you get enough for 60x60 it is $45.65 a sheet. The prices as sure to go up even further so if you have a source I would stock up. KJP also sells 1/16 too.

    Likewise on using Mikes Workshop. Ship to blades and drills to Canada quickly and never had a problem at customs. I just wish that they would make some of their patterns available digitally. There are a couple of puzzles I would like put the postage would be more than the patterns plus exchange. I will wait.

    Each year since I got my scroll saw I have done something to be used a a place setting at Christmas dinner. Started with ornaments from Steve Good for a few years and then 3d objects that I modified. Sleighs, snowmen elfs etc. This year I did not put names on the ornaments but something that represents the person. Guess which one is me.

    Original pattern of card box from Steve Good reduced 50%. Had to add 1/2 inch to each of the box joints. (don't ask how I know).

    Well done. Love the choice of woods and how you did the Angel. I bought that pattern and was going to make for our kids but they all have one that they are attached to. Same with us. This gives me the inspiration that I will make for next year and donate. Thanks for posting and I have saved a couple of the pictures. PS: Do you make your own antique solution or is it store bought.

    Here is a picture with the hole filled and a picture of the moss. Before doing this I used to use the cedar leaves that dried and fell off the tree.

    This is joint project with my granddaughter. I was her idea so I came up with a pattern and cut out for each of her friends. The inspiration for this was, at Halloween this year the 7 friends all dressed as a different colour M&M. Had sweatshirts with a big M and a matching Tootoo. Some had coloured streaks in their hair too. She wanted to come up with something to give each this Christmas and this is what she came up with. I cut - she painted the same as her friends costume.

    I use the 3m velc0r strips and they come in different strength. I have a few intarsia projects on the wall and every thing is fine.

    Great idea. I like the figures as it keeps with your brand. Really cool. Have you tested the hooks with a sport ribbon? I used to do ribbon racks for a number of sports and started by using hooks but switched to shaker pegs after first rack. Some one asked about Gymnastics and here is an example of a design I did. I showed the picture with and without ribbons from the user.

    I usually order from Mikes Workshop that is run now by Wooden Teddy Bear. I am a die hard Flying Dutchman user and I order by the gross. Usually takes about a week to come to Canada. I have never paid customs yet. They end up costing with shipping and conversion to Cdn $ about $4 CDN. a dozen. A friend of mine recommended SawBird http://www.sawbird.com/scroll_saw_blades.htm. He found the NIQUA the same as the Flying Dutchman. I will try them next time I order. They have Pegas too. NOTE> US buyers get a 20% discount on the money.

    Great work. Wish the grandkids where small enough and I would cut in a flash. Ps: Does your original picture have and extension like .jpg I had to down load and then open with Gimp that automatically rotated image.

    I think if you got your EX-21 at Home Depot it was made in China. For what I have read the quality control is not the same as the machines coming from Taiwan. The King is made to the same specs in Taiwan and gets good reviews. If you are close to the border it is the same price in Canada and the USA and get your 20% discount on the $ I have had my EX-21 for over 10 years and love it.

    I purchased the 2021 pattern book not to make ornaments or patterns to sell but because I loved the designs. A friend collects angels so this was perfect. I have cut a couple so far and these are really easy as not too many holes. The angel below uses a different font a getting 9 character name in was bit of a challenge. I added the year for fun. Thank you to Travis for these.

    Welcome to the village. It is a great place to learn and if you have any questions this is the place to ask, I too am retired and fell in love with scrolling about 10 years ago. One thing you should do is sign up with Steve Good for his daily email. He has a catalogue of over 3,000 patterns and has lots of videos. https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ Travis has a great book on making personalized ornaments here but if you are not up to doing your own order from Steve, Your family will love it.

    My go to bladed is #5 FD polar but it really depends on you and the wood. Recently I had some cherry that was burning on the corners and I changed to #5 Pegas MGT and it worked great. One thing I found is cutting real hardwood is to wrap the blank in packing tape. It seem to lubricate the blade and stops burning.

    Thanks I thought I had all Diana Thompson's patterns but that must have been added lately. It is cute. Cutting birdhouses is addictive. I have cut probably around 200 of the little things.

    I know I have done the bottom one and was able to get a screw eye in the middle. Like Dan I use 5mm that I get from Lee Valley for $3 US for 100 I have not seen the top one but I assume it would be the same. Where did the tulip pattern come from.? Don
