I know what you mean, I had the same problem for a while but my wife had some cross stitch canvas that was too small for her eyes so started useing it to wip my cuttings off with mineral spirits and it work , I am now using easy-tack by KROYLON

I have a 395 dermal with a slow speed of 5000 to 30000 and use it on all woods at at top speed you might have a low grade drill or you are pushing it thru tooo fast.
but that dermal should work. On ply wood you may have problems with the glue it will burn up a drill real fast. you should als peck drill. That is drill a little bit back out to clear the wood chips.

As Steve stated only time will tell . He didn't sound too promising of being able to run 4-8 hours per day I put about 20 hours on my DW 788 per week. I think I will run mine for 3 or 4 years and buy another one maybe by that time I will kinow more about the JET.

I bought a plunge router at Lowe's for $30 and the dremel cost about the same. I have 5 of them 4 were bought at garage Sales for $10 or less. I have each set up for special jobs. Saves time.
