Ed, I also began with a Craftsman 16 inch and I liked it. I used it for about seven years with only minor problems but blade changing was a problem so I "invented" a bigger thumbscrew to make blade changing less painful. Recently, I upgraded to a Delta when they were on sale a few months ago. There is no comparison, the Delta is by a long shot far superior to the Craftsman in every way. In short, I love my Delta. Nice ones Kevin! Thanks for bringing my patterns to life. I am a little surprised that you cut them seperately. I would have thought that you would have stacked one of the patterns then added the individual names. Thanks for sharing them with us. Don R

I run the saw at medium speed (#5) and feed steadily and slowly and keep good downward pressure on the wood. Doing that with spirals works well for me. It took about 2 hours to cut that picture of the Indian Girl and 4 or 5 blades. Don R

Mimi, As far as I am concerned, it is an excellent idea. Many will disagree but I use exclusively FD Spiral blades and I use #1 Spirals to cut a stack of four 1/8 inch BB Ply. Don R

I just completed this cut of the Queen and used the Union Jack as a backer. What do you think? Go with the color or use a plain backer? I can't decide. Don R
