  1. Beautiful ,he will treasure it !
  2. I resemble parts of all of the above ,The Golden yrs. come at a HELL of a PRICE ,Then I see some youngster with real dis-abilities ,or wounded warriors and think how Blessed I am and always have been ,I quit complaining for a while ,then sorry sneeks back in ,and I need another jolt of REALITY remembering ,what you still can do ,not what you Can't ! Got to put my big boy pants on and keep them on ! It could be a HELL of a lot WORSE!! Thank You Lord !!
  3. Nice detail, worth the price .every bit !
  4. From my experience ,even the flat end ones arn't but much better ! Another tip I clip the tip to a point w/ dikes ,and rotate a pencil in each hole after drilling ,makes swapping hole 's a lot easier ,pencil makes a slight slick taper but also black ring left is easy to see tapered tip saves a lot of time especially if your a bottom loader like me !
  5. Here is the conversion ,without Large mag lite (saved small spot) much more and easier hand control w/o mag.-lite in the way while sawing .served it's purpose till I found a better way ,with better results ! at least for me ,every bodies different and has to find their own better way !
  6. In my experience there are reason some tips stick better than others ,usually has to do with personal experiences and resolving issues we have incountered, speaking ,only from personal experience ,mind you !
  7. That's called Scrollers Block ,caused by lack of desire to creat something you really don't care about ,I Got it years ago ,so now I only do what interests and excites me ,to go through all the work ,because I want to ! And it only has to make sence to me ,the rest ain't much fun ,You have to love the all mighty dollar or the show experience to let it take over your hobby and make it your ,I Gotta get it done by ,I promiced too ,I have a deposit ,& . Too much for me ,been there done that ,not my thing any more ,I threw away both the tee shirt and the hat ! Maybe I'm Just getting too old and senile ! It's only good as long as you like it ,and are willing do it and still enjoy it ! It only has to makes sence to you , GOD bless -Good luck - Follow your in-stinks !
  8. Dick .I like to use opaque shelf paper on the wood and put the pattern sheet glued to that ,when done heat gun ,used careful entire pattern even delicut comes off in one pc. cheaper than tape ,seamless .shelf paper is actually plastic self adhesive ,I use clear to not show thru and obscure pattern! one roll lasts and lasts ,roll about 18" wide not sure about lenght but plenty ! back side distances marked ,I cut oversize and trim off extra w/ razor blade ,or wrap and helps eliminate most fuzzies . use provides lube .
  9. They are just like clip on sunglass's only magnifing clear lens ,thy work great on my tri-focals ,nothing special ,no loops no adjustment .their for constant close work like scrolling ,needle point ,I just never knew the were made in clip on form , I keep a laundry softener sheet in the case when not in use for static ,I don't have a dust problem when I'm scrolling anyway with my vac set-up.
  10. You know who you are , I was going over past posts on two different scroll Forums many many posts .I should have written it down ,I apoligize for my inability to credit by name the tipster ,but a big thank you ! The Tip was (clip on mag.glasses) better yet he named the source .I never knew they existed in clip on form ,w/ tri focals they are the cats meow ! I bought a pair ,tried them in the store . Came home moved my mag lite out of the way ,cut a little ,I am blessed with plenty of lite at my saw area and dremel cabinet and drill press ,(4 2-bulb daylite floresent 4'er s ,removed the large mag, lite assenbly ,left the swivel mounting clips just in case .what a difference ,always got backfeed reflection from it ,although it easily swung completely out of the way and had a keyed return still had issues with my eyes blinking and fiddleing because of my position changing during turns etc. caught that reflexion causeing distorsion in the image always at the wrong time. long story short all that is gone now ,eyes feel much better ,so if you wear glasses ,they are super and gets a large newcents (spell errors abound ) and weight out of the way completely .I left the small spot lite ,mounted and keyed with the vac pick up,it was never in the way . Hunted for an hr and could not remember where your post was ,but I wanted to say thanks and give you what credit I could and also pass along to some one else ,who missed your original post also .The source by the way is in large sewing dept. got mine at hobbylobby next to the knitting supplies .$9.99 . I have gotten and given alot of tips on these forums ,But for me this ranks way up there in value to me and anyone that wears glasses ! Thanks Again !! CARL

  18. Thanks everybody for the comments! I'm a cofaholic ,I nuke my coffee ,from time to time as I get busy and let it get cold in the winter. That main vac system up graded ,now has main discharge into Vortex 55 gal barrel prior to the impeller ,all of my large dust and chip makers roll up to one of four gated pick-ups around that tablesaw extention table on that side very low cfm loss ,planers ,delta sanding machine ,router table even multiple sandertable connects .Powermatic table saw is the only thing stationary and directly connected ,bandsaws ,and down draft sanding table have their own portables connected . even the Thein style DIY vortex barrel is on wheel s so I can roll outside to empty once every 6mos. to a yr. My transmission shop friend comes by and picks it up .
  19. Use a dowel !
  20. Rough finished projects are so hard to keep the dust out all the lap siding and the foundations ,as you can see in the background I had my DIY pheumatic wooden ,rack and pinion loader with clamps and sealer set up for custom job. I was doing ,at the time these pictures were taken ,everything is on wheels ,so I can transform my shop easily from one use to another with in a hr .Walnut makes excellent rack and pinions . I like to shrink wrap and seal my blanks and Resawn blanks and rounds after they dry and are sanded .keeps them nice .
