  1. They are cute pieces and would be great table decorations. I am still thinking this one over. Dick heppnerguy
  2. I have cut a couple of Alex Fox's basket and have a couple more yet to do. I like the basket a lot. Yours is really nice and they do make great gifts. Thanks for sharing your post. I always enjoy seeing your work Dick heppnerguy
  3. I too am a big fan of crab. I worked 34 years in the seafood business. Dungeness crab is probably my #2 most favorite food, followed by razor clams. A nice piece, I have been eyeing it to also cut. You have your work cut out with the sanding on this wood Dick heppnerguy
  4. Very impressive piece. I can't think of a single thing that could be done any better then this is. You work is exceptional. So glad I was able to view it. Thanks for posting it Dick heppnerguy
  5. Glad to hear that . You are indeed a busy person. I will go and check out your gallery. I too have a couple of other hobbies that I am venturing into but so far I am barely scratching the surface on them. There are so many interesting hobbies out there and it is difficult not to want to do them all. Thanks for the update, I am really glad for the information on your work. Dick heppnerguy
  6. nice to have hobbies that both enjoy, even if they are different hobbies. So happy for you that you have continued to pursue your new found fun. Keep up the good work and who knows perhaps by next Christmas, Tony will be building you your own add on or building where you can expand as you wish,, Dick heppnerguy
  7. I was honored to have a friend purchase for me, some of Alex Fox's baskets. I have made one of Fox's basket that I purchased from his wed sight and posted it here about a couple of months ago and my good friend saw that I liked to make them for my wife, who by the way really loves them, so he bought several basket patterns for me to enjoy making. Here is the first of the them but with a little twist. I asked my wife if she would enjoy is with the top two layers left as one or by following the pattern all the way. She told me she would like to see it with the altered way first. So here is her request. When I complete the next one in it's original format, it will be like a new basket all together. I enjoy cutting and putting these together because they are quick and easy to cut but more because my wife likes them so well. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Alex F ox sure has a great creative mind. His ideas for patterns certainly is thinking outside the box Dick heppnerguy
  9. Little guys love cars and trucks to play with and I am not a wood toy fan but I too have a great grandson that is only one year old so I guess I better get myself and gear and try my hand at making wooden toys. I can see why he loves these nice wooden ones you made, Ralph Dick heppnerguy
  10. New glasses are working quite well. Look our everyone, Paul is getting set to really blow us all out to the water with what he is going to cut next. I think I can here the whirl of his Hegner all the way down here in Arizona. Hey Paul, I know you are one happy fellow now that you can see again. Beautiful work and the nut cracker guys. I still am scratching my head as to how they can be cut on the scroll saw. Dick heppnerguy
  11. Don't know the guy nor have I heard of him, but that is me most of the music for the last couple of decades or so. I can understand that he is very recognizable to many here as you did to a nice job cutting him and the pattern must be right on for all that knows who he is have commented so Dick heppnerguy
  12. I see you are very active in The Village and participate in a lot of fun conversation s but I do not see you post much of your work. I am proud of you for asking questions about doing something that you had not tried before instead of just jumping in and making mistakes so that you have to learn the hard way. That is how I do. you know, a guy who does not ask for directions to anything or any where. Your work turned out to be very good and your barn wood usage sounds like it could become an extra special, original piece, should you decide to do it that way. Keep up the great work on the scroll saw and please post any barn wood pieces you do, I am interested in seeing how it might come out. Dick heppnerguy
  13. I think getting this cut in two days is a feat in itself. That is one terrific accomplishment. I also love that pattern but don't think I could get to it if I wanted to right now. The one word description I would use here would be, MARVELOUS. I can't see how it could be cut any better than this one is Dick heppnerguy
  14. nice job with both designing and cutting. I really like that you make 'weekend' larger to stand out and the little frowny face on Monday says to me that the pattern was well thought out and executed. Thanks for posting and keep at the pattern making, it shows you have a great creative mind Dick heppnerguy
  15. I think it is really well done and quite different. I have never seen this pattern before. And as far as Scrappile's comment goes. I just make some for my household here in Arizona as we are sophisticated to use one. Dick heppnerguy
  16. Wow you are so kind and generous. I will let you know Dick heppnerguy
  17. Unfortunately I did not get the pattern maker written down when I saved it to my western files. I guess I forgot to add it for the transfer. Nice pattern though. Just the kind I like to cut for portraits. Dick heppnerguy
  18. Well Ivan, It looked like a pretty interesting game. the graffics were pretty good, especially on the aircraft I saw. However, The guy that was narrating it was a little difficult to understand .. Thank you for video direction and the offer of making me a pattern. I am looking for one that I would like to have. I will let you know, should I find it. Dick heppnerguy
  19. A fun and different type of project that you do not see very often in The Village. Enjoyed viewing your piece and reading all the fun stories it brought out Dick heppnerguy
  20. All of these pieces are done very well. You have a lot of fun time ahead of you as your test drive that new saw. Thanks for posting your work so the rest of us can enjoy them also Dick heppnerguy

  24. This is my cut version.. I had it's fun places and I did have a break but at the leading edge of the left wing. I was able to glue back in place the piece that broke. Thanks for the advice, just a little late for this one. Dick heppnerguy
