  1. nice word art. they keep you busy turning the piece on the saw table but end up worth the time spent, every time Dick heppnerguy
  2. Thank you, Kevin for the nice remark.. Dick heppnerguy
  3. I bought some Pegas blades to try as there has been so much hype on them. I found that I did not care for them because they are too aggressive for my liking. However, It I was cutting3/4 inch hardwood, they will be the blade I will use. the teeth are bigger on them then other brands, hence the aggressive character. But as far a reversible blades go, I doubt I will ever buy blades that are not reversible for most of the things I cut. Dick heppnerguy
  4. thanks Phil, for the heads up. I have never used Gorilla glue and now I am even more sure that I probably will not do so in the future, either Dick heppnerguy
  5. Excellent piece. The efforts of both you and Keith, made this one a real winner Dick heppnerguy
  6. I thought about cutting a couple of these but I thought people just would not be interested in having one. Funny thing is..... most of the time when I post something on my Facebook page that I, personally, am not very interested in, it turns out to often be an instant seller for me. I guess I just need to relax and understand that everything will spark the interest of someone Dick heppnerguy
  7. It is a fun take on the ten commandments. Did you make the pattern? Are the rifles, jug and banjo inlays ? This should bring a lot of laughs and smiles to those that see this. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Oh, I like this one a lot. Nicely executed cutting on this pattern. Is this your pattern? It is a winner for sure Dick heppnerguy
  9. They look great, What are you going to do with them? You obviously have something in mind. Nicely cut too. Dick heppnerguy
  10. That truly is amazing that you could have an identical sales day. The chances of that happening is like picking the lottery numbers twice in a row. Congratulations on a successful event. Your booth is done up very well and I am sure the great signs brings people in for a closer look and then, they just can not walk away without buying something. Dick heppnerguy
  11. I saw the new bowl that Alex Fox designed and cut and I just had to give it a try also. So here is my effort. I am going to include this in my wife's Mother's Day gift. I hope she likes it as well as I do. Dick heppnerguy
  12. Welcome to The Village that is filled with helpful and talented people and then there are some like myself that hope to some day become talented. but I am always willing to help any where I can. We are glad you have found us and joined up. Take the time to browse everything here and you will soon learn there are many helpful and interesting places that seem hidden until you take the time to explore. Dick heppnerguy
  13. I gasped when I saw this piece. the grill work looks like a 'hold your breath and pray' type of work. I can imagine that part took longer then the rest of the car combined. You did a remarkable job on this one, for sure.. One of the most impressive automobile cuts I have ever seen done. Congratulations.... my hat is off to you Dick heppnerguy
  14. Great and appreciative piece to give any mother. Dick heppnerguy
  15. I sure do not see anything about it I would change. Looks like a perfectly done job, from the photo.. way to do. You are rumbling on down the road. Dick heppnerguy
  16. I think it is awesome and you know what? You can rest assured that well after all the other wedding gifts are used and warn out and replaced, this one will live on and one of their future children will take these and cherish them also.. Well done Dick heppnerguy
  17. Nice piece, I too am impressed with the great framing job you did. I have tried to make some frames and most are a losing situation for me Dick heppnerguy
  18. Not only is this a well done inlay box made in a true craftsmanship way, but the scroll work on the inside is very innovative and adds so much to the box. A really great idea. I love the creativity of some people.. something I do not have, myself. It is people like you that help to raise the level of my work with your ideas. Dick heppnerguy
  19. I do not see how it could have been done any better than this one.. Perfect. It will be cherished for a long time by the family Dick heppnerguy
  20. Dan, You are right, maybe it would look better if I did enlarge it to the actual size of a nickel.
  21. You must have made a lot of items using Holly, as your saw dust pile out side your shop in the bottom photo is all white in color. Good thing you do not have big wind storms like we sometimes do in Arizona or you would have some angry neighbors. Biggest sawdust pile I have ever seen, out side of the old lumber mills of long ago. Dick heppnertguy
  22. Thank you all for your replies on my work, but especially for the kind, respectful replies about my grandson.. Every time I see him, I remind him that he is my hero and I will pass on to him the comments from all of you who requested that I do so. He will be moved to the State of Washington soon and then he will join his special forces group that is already deployed. We continue to pray for him, daily as well as his wife and new baby boy. He is truly a person I admire and look up to. You are all so kind for the wonderful words of appreciation for him as well. That only adds to my feelings that we are all family here in The Village Dick heppnerguy
  23. What a great way to thank someone. Dick heppnerguy
  24. These will surely be loved for a long time to come Dick heppnerguy
  25. doesn't look difficult to cut but with my poor gluing skills, I do not think I will try it. it sure is interesting to look at though Dick heppnerguy
