  1. It is all about the profit margin......
  2. NICE!!
  3. That is my current combo also....
  4. I have two,,, no reason that really is important,,,, I just do and I use both... If I found a can't resist on a Hawk... G-4 or better I would have three.. no reason that really is important.... But think about,,, people use to get by with one car,,,, but, really who does anymore....
  5. Great job... one I have thought of doing for my Nephew/brother-in-law for their shop... It is not a place of business for them but they work on cars (drag race) a lot. They would not get a beautiful piece of wood like that though..
  6. I like one first,,,, but maybe it is because of the board you have it on. If the second one was on a similar natural looking board,,, it would be a toss up to me.
  7. Done quite a few,,, I use both spiral and flat.... Welcome to the forum... Glad you have joined us.
  8. They be, but the current manufacturers don't even know how to spell customer service from what I read. Parts or even the saw may take a long time coming. Hope they have improved that, it is a good saw.
  9. Is there an American made power tools anymore?? Where ever they are made it is up to the company having them made, to provide quality control... They do not have to accept the un-acceptable.
  10. I have some... My aux table on my Hegner is made of it and I have some that was given to me to use to make parts for another organ if I chose to build one.. I have not tried to scroll any.
  11. I have had only one Delta tool and that is a Planer... I had no complaints with it... Did a lot of work for me and did it well. I just replaced it with a DeWalt 734. If I get as good of service out of it,,, as I did the Delta, I will be very happy... My Delta was getting old... Lots of lumber ran through it when I was building boats... Had a little problem with it a while back and on a whim I purchased the DeWalt on sale. I will eventually try to fix the Delta and sell it. I have heard stories of poor repair, lack of parts for Delta,,, enough so I will not purchase any other Delta product... which is no big deal, I am old enough I probably won't be purchasing any new tools from anyone....I do have a Steel City table saw, which was made from ex-Delta employees.... It is an awesome saw... Not sure where I will get parts for it if I ever need any... Steel City went out of business. Well I lied... I have two Delta tools, the planer and a Delta midi Lathe.... It has been a good little lathe,,, no complaints with it... It now houses my Mac Mops to sand fret work with.... and it does that well also.. Going to have to replace the bearing one of these days... but to me that is normal wear...
  12. I kew it,,, I knew it... That is awesome!!
  13. Great project, well done. I had never heard of that car before.. I also alway enjoy you projects and the story behind them. I picture you having a wall with the pictures mounted on it with the history printed a framed,,, just under each picture... Like going into a museum.
  14. Yes they are Mascot, and the best mini bits I have found to date... Says they are carbon steel. I use to buy my bites through Mike's and about 1/2 of them wobbled so bad they were useless. I do like the Mascots from DnD.
  15. I bought some bargain drill bits from Sears once.... First bit I use, to drill a hole in pine,,, it just folded over into an "L" shape.... Like they were made of soft lead.. I just threw all of them in the trash can... Nothing really to do with your post, but just thought I will tell my little story...
  16. Will, T'wer me,,,, I would return it. Just because they need to know there quality control sucks... I've read good reports about that saw,, so I not sure I would give up on that model just yet.... Don't rush,,, maybe Santa will bring so cash,,, then you can think about returning and maybe trying one a little more expensive. Did it come with a manual?? I just received a DeWalt planer,,,, no invoice, no manual... First time that has happened to me... No big deal, I guess but seems odd. I can print the manual from online... and I guess print my order confirmation from email,,, but seem odd they were not included in the package..
