  1. I'd be curious how hard it is to do the tension on a 14". You have to loosen the tension to switch blades or do hole changes of fret work. That would seem to be a lot of turning or the knob, but maybe not. There is one up here a 18", newer model with the insert table, quick release clamp, stand, up front tension release, says it is like new and it looks it from the pictures.... $425 and been posted since 7/6. Saws just don't sell up in this part of the country. Several Hawks, 2 Excaliburs a 21" and a 30" that all look real nice been listed for several weeks....
  2. Well I finally got something off the saw. With table saw upgrades, some jigs to work on, outside work, I have only spent a hour or so a day a few days a week on the saw. But I have this one cut and have another picture I have been working on for my son about 1/2 cut. This a Charles Hand pattern. I did the Ornate tiger, this one seemed to go slower for some reason,, not more difficult. I like having these on a saw. I enjoy cutting them. The next one will be the ornate howl.
  3. I think the Titebond equivalent is their "Quick and Thick" . I like using it. I have not tried the Weldbond yet.

  21. Welcome Gary, glad you are joining us. The RBI has has been around for a long time and there are several owners here. If you can post pictures of the one you are contemplating, it would help. There are some real good ones, some not quite so good. I have never had the privilege of using one, so I cannot advise.
