  2. Very well done, Dan. I love nativities. Plan on doing a couple this fall. I have did this one.
  3. Brilliant!
  4. One thing I need to do is Make a real "Bucket List" and learn to stick with it. I get so easily sidetracked. Got to put the list of pictures I want to cut at the bottom of the list, I keep doing "one more picture" I guess because that is where I am most comfortable. Right now I am in the middle of two pictures, one on each saw... Two more pictures to add to my stack Well one is spoken for, so it is really one more to the stack.
  5. You've done a great job, both on pattern and cutting...
  6. Like that scroll saw. You get your fix of gas fumes, exhaust and saw dust all at the same time...!
  7. That is some great work.....!
  8. Darn, Ray, you are a trouble maker.... spent a couple precious hours, that I should have been out in the hot sun working, watching the guys video and learning thing about the marquetry again. Been down this road many times. I have also watched this guy's video during my past searches.... I have got to give it a try after a couple other projects get finished... I get a real kick out of his scroll saw, sounds like it is falling apart... but it gets the job done. But of all the things one can do with a scroll saw,,,, this is my idea of the ultimate scroll saw art.
  9. There you go Ray. I don't know how far he is from you but is class is very resonible.
  10. I'm with you Ray. I would like to be able (afford) to attend a class on it. They have them in Cal. once in a while.. I think in San Diego.
  11. Ouch!!! Hope it heals quickly. I've glued my thumb and index finger together several times....
  12. Too much dinner and wine,,, oh did my wife fix a great dinner tonight....! but I wrote this response to your post before you added info.... guess I forgot to click on "Submit Reply".... I do that too often... Looking good Ray, I remember the other one you made... for those that don't remember:
  13. I think I could live with a shop like that!
  14. Yes, my favorite mini bits. I really think they are the best I have purchased.
  15. No no no no... that is "Death Before Dishonor".... but I would take death over a cup of decaf.... what is the point of decaf.. Hot water is cheaper... Nice scrolling
  16. http://qtena.com/ good service, and great prices also. I prefer to order from DnD though, only because I think they are a smaller business and I like to support the smaller business' when I can.
  17. Ha! If the amount of space one's wood takes up, I am a lot richer in wood than @oldhudson! Coarse, I only have a tiny amount of wood but the way I organize things, my tiny amount takes up a whole lot more space.... I even build a cart like his, it over there some where under those pieces of scrap wood.....
  18. Glad they responded so well.
  19. Have some on hand, some projects I have to order for specially.
  20. Now that is very cool!!
  21. Very nice cutting of a pretty piece. I'd be tempted to put the letters of that pattern on a thin piece of contrasting wood, cut them and then glue them on top of the existing lettering.... then the "welcome" would really stand out.
  22. Nice work. Clean cuts.
  23. Don't think I have seen one of your pictures in a while. That is a great scene. Very well done.
  24. My wife lets me have it if I say I am going to buy anything,,, doesn't stop me.... I just tell her I didn't hear her... You know the old "when did you say that?" question. "You must have been on my left side when you said no... you know I can't hear out of that side..." Actually I am a big boy and I do what I want..... ooppppss! Got to sign off the computer quick....
  25. Can't you call or email DnD and ask?
