Looks like a pro to me. You did you usual awesome job! There will come a day when spirals are just another tool in the box and you will be as comfortable using that tool as any other. I love spirals for many things, but they are just another size, type of blade, just like flat blades only different.... And, I say with a little practice you can cut just as straight a line with a spiral and you can with a flat blade... The only thing I have not been able to do with a spiral is make sharp pointed corners.... well, Charles Dearing (who says he has never used a flat blade) says he can and told how in something I watched several years ago, but doing as he says I am only successful about 30% or less of the time.

If you scroll down to the Rockler one at $99.99 just below it is one that looks identical except for the stick on label for $69.99. I am willing to bet it is the same unit.

I've had one on my dust collector for many years now. I got it from Rockler and paid around $75. I thought it was expensive then they now want $100! It is a good one, like I said I've had it for years and it has never failed nor have I lost the remote for it. http://www.rockler.com/dust-collector-remote-switch I would think. you could find a cheaper one that would work just fine. They are very convenient to have.

Hegner 18" scroll saw and table question

I would make a wedge shaped piece that bolts to the stand and then the saw bolts to it. It would be easy to build out of scrap plywood and boards. Try it and if it adds vibration or is unstable you have some firewood.... -

Well, for some fun, go to his site and look up the plans for his "Marshmellow Crossbow". I made 4 of them to give to family members. They a great fun to make and play with.... wear eye protection.... I use to purchase from Mike's, but felt they were not good quality. About 50% wobbled so bad they were unusable. Last purchase of bits I ordered from DnD and really think they are much better bits.

Today I was at Ron's house to visit. I saw the bowl live for the first time. The pictures does not do it justice and it is much bigger than it appears in the pictures. And one other little thing..... he handed it to me and said take it home. All he wants in turn is that I cut him 3 sets of the animals after I get my eyes fixed. He wants to have them in case he decides to make more similar bowls.

Well now I am very confused. I have read somewhere in my beginning days that the drift is caused because the teeth points protrude slightly to the right of the blade..... This is caused by the way the blades are made. In fact it is one of the ways I was taught how to tell which way was up on a some blades, run the blade between the thumb and forefinger, and you will feel the slight roughness on one side. Mount the blade with that rough side on the right an the blade will be mounted right end up. This was a long time ago, maybe it was in a dream or something, but I remember it. Now if this is true, and you sand the side of the blade, wouldn't that sand the points of the teeth off and make the blade dull??
