  1. Great work Steve. They do look like satisfying projects. I hope to do some one of these days.
  2. Looks great!
  3. Very nice cuttings
  4. Runa, I think from the description, the closest product available in the U.S. to what Alex uses is "Weldwood Contact Cement". I used this Titebond glue on the one I made and it worked well. Thicker than other Titebond glues, very tacky, dries clear. Just a suggestion, other glues work and the regular Titebonds work also.
  5. I agree with Bill's post. I only use the real small spirals. The Pegas 2/0 is a good one for me also. Just a little stiffer than the Flying Dutchman 2/0
  6. Great job and thanks for the interesting info to go with it.
  7. I really enjoy seeing your clocks. The old truck is really a cute one.
  8. Well done. Really looks nice.
  9. Very nice work, Steve. The treble clef is a great piece. I really want to try one of those types sometime.
  10. Well this is not really my first, scroll project, don't really remember what my first was but this one of my very early ones. It is the first Cigar Box Guitar I made, only I didn't have a cigar box at the time so I made the box and scrolled the two eagles in the top for decoration.
  11. Here I am again, rationalizing to myself why I should attempt this project. I just kinda think I want to take on another challenging project that is more than scrolling patterns but involves the scroll saw. I want something to work on like the street organ I built. Every phase was a new challenge for me... I really enjoyed it. I may not do this, but it would probably be the second most challenging project I have attempted of this order if I do. Organ was number one. But alas, no new project until I can get my eyes fixed. I go in for evaluation for cataract surgery on the 31st. If I get to have it done I will be able to have shunts put in my eyes at the same time which will hopefully relieve the pressure in my eyes. Maybe I won't have to put drops in my eye twice a day any more.... But if the shunts don't work so good, at least if the cataracts are cleared up I will be able to see the scroll saw blade and the pattern clearly again...
  12. Well, $80! Plus wood, motor and other supplies. This could be a $150 build, pretty easy..... That sucks.... Well, it is what it is.... Wish I had seen that before I ordered the plans... may have slowed me up a little...
  13. You did a nice job cutting the picture.
  14. Nice puzzle!
  15. Great picture! Great scrolling.
  16. I have to agree with all, great pictures you made. They are very cute.
  17. My first born flew the F-14 Tomcat, and the F-18 Superhornet, plus many other planes, including a WWII bomber, but he has not ever flown in an open cockpit plane of any kind, let alone a Stearman.... he is jealous of me!
  18. Holy molly, went to the site again and all of a sudden,,,,,, order confirmed!!! How did that happen?? I am so weak....I am a patternholic for sure.... Okay this is the last pattern I will buy in my life,,, I swear! If I get it built, I am giving it to my S-I-L's folks for having us visit at their house for the fly-in. The pattern is a small price to pay for a flight in a Stearman bi-plane...
  19. That is a great picture. Well done. You are coming up with some unique patterns lately!
  20. Gears!! I like cutting gears! It is intriguing, but I put it in the cart and with shipping it is a $37+ plan! That is almost as much a the street organ plans I purchased and it was a thin book and came from the UK! I wish Earlthescroller was available, he could help explain.
  21. I did yesterday, no response yet.
  22. I understand why you cherish it.
  23. Nicely cut in beautiful wood.
