  1. I just received my daily email from Steve Good. There is a special offer for a Delta Saw for $314. http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ I cannot recommend one, because I have never even seen one, but they are suppose to be much like the DeWalt. There are members here that own them, hopefully they will share input. @Lew just received a new one check this thread: http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/29682-new-delta-saw/?tab=comments#comment-332047
  2. Great projects.
  3. Very beautiful. Nice cutting, building and finishing! I love cutting this type of projects, putting them together can be a bit challenging sometimes.
  4. You do it all, Dave and you do it all so well! Great job.
  5. Sabrina, I was trying to figure out why you are not getting much response to you inquiry and a good welcome from the members. I think the answer is the post is in the wrong Forum. I think if we can get @Travis to move it to the "Introduction" Forum you will see some action.
  6. Very interesting and beautiful. It would be fun to experiment with thing like staining each layer so it get progressively dark or lighter with each layer. Oh my so many things to cut..... wish I had started scrolling when I was 1 1/2 years old!!
  7. Great work Kevin and good to see your pictures again!!
  8. Congratulations on you new saw. It is always great to get a new tool.
  9. Seems do me like I have purchased Deft at my local ACE Hardware also.
  10. Do you have a Lowe's close by? https://newsroom.lowes.com/news-releases/lowes-sherwin-williams-partnership/
  11. Great job!
  12. Heck Ya!!!
  13. Well,, doesn't everyone!!?
  14. I use "Deft Clear Wood Finish". I love it, but I have read you cannot get it in some parts of the U.S. I get it a Home Depot. Great stuff. Only down side they are starting to use steel ball bearings in the can instead of the glass marbles... I prefer glass marbles....
  15. The gluing it up kinda intimidated me,, but it wasn't any where near as difficult as I imagined it would be. I used the Titebond Quick & Thick and it worked very well.
  16. Very nice to have you join us in the Village. I won't give advice on the saw, I have never had an opportunity to use a Hawk.
  17. Very well done!
  18. Well done!
  19. Really some very fine work.
  20. Great cutting. Black canvas backer is something I have not seen before. I like it.
  21. In between working on other projects I made one of Alex Fox's bowls. Been wanting to try on since he posted the first one. It wasn't all that difficult and a pleasure to work on. I have all his bowl patterns but one, so I hope to do them all. I do not remember the wood. It is pretty soft, has a pinkish brown grain running through part of it. The important thing is my wife likes it...
  22. I'm wondering if Rockytime always wear a shirt to match the saw he is using..... now that is style!
  23. Very glad you are joining us. Very nice piece of scrolling you have there.
  24. It use to be that in a forum members gallery on this site, people could visit look at pictures and pin them to Pinterest. I think they could do similar to Facebook. It would even tell you in your galley album how many times a picture had been pinned to Pinterest. I had several of picture that were pinned that way. It told with the picture in Pinterest where the picture was pinned from. I do not see this option anymore since the upgrade. I always considered it a compliment that some one would want to pin/save a picture I had scrolled. I do not know if there was the same option in the pattern library.
