  1. Very well done!
  2. Well I am going to post mine because I need another "trophy" . I already posted pictures of it in the bragging forum. This plaque will be her gift. She already spoke of it anyway.
  3. They look mighty nice.
  4. Outstanding job. You do beautiful work.
  5. They don't get better than that. Very professional. Great craftsmanship.
  6. Another good one. You have that kind of scrolling down good.
  7. Glad to have you join us.
  8. Very nice looking box!
  9. Well you picked a good hobby for the long winters.... Glad to have you join us. Be sure to check the pattern library, there are many really great ones there. Keep you busy for a long time.
  10. What you saw was the larger sizes that are on the first few pages of the many pages of them. You have to get to about the 3rd or 4th page. Check the sizes. The reason I know what you saw, that is what I saw the first time I went there and I had sticker shock. Hope my little post did not offend you, I was just trying to josh you a little, and I only do that to friends...
  11. Ya, I can see your point, a sanding mop $39.90 + shipping a 7" x 2" Mac Mop $39.95 + shipping.......! Or am I missing something?
  12. For R/O sanders I have only had a DeWalt. So, I can't compare, but I have been happy with my DeWalt. It's about 10 years old. I do not use it a whole lot but glad I have it when I need it. Granted the Festool is probably the best of the best, but I just do not use one enough to justify that kind of money for one. My DeWalt has great dust collection when I hook my Fein vac to it.
  13. I'm sorry. I'm speaking of the "Mac Mops", not the Sanding Mops. Everything I stated was related to the Mac Mops. https://www.woodworkingshop.com/search.aspx?q=mac+mop I have the 7" x 2". I also have the Sanding Mops but I rarely use them now that I have Mac Mops.... the sanding mops you need to make or buy the arbor.. Sanding mops work good also, but I prefer the Mac Mops.
  14. The sanding mops a less aggressive, at least to me, than sand paper. First I would not get less than a 7" diameter one, and if I was only going to have one I would get the 180 grit. It gives me a finish as smooth as 220 sand paper. I have a 120, 180 and a 240 and I use the 180 most. Now that is me, others may feel differently.
  15. Really nice work. I too really like the quote in the second one. I may have to do the last one for my older brother. Although he just sold his bike. His wife use to let him go on a two hour ride each Sunday.
  16. I do not keep track of time, but did not take as long as you would think. The top and bottom are stack cut together as well as the two sides and the small and larger filler pieces. So, there are really only five pieces to cut of the detailed scroll work. The outline of the dark wood pieces can also be stack cut but there is additional scrolling in them (that does not show in the picture) that has to be done individually. I think cutting the letters out took me as long as the other parts. Thank you all for the nice comments.
  17. This is my attempt of the John 3:16 verse. Thanks Dick (Heppnerguy) for showing the one you did inspiring me to do it. I've had the pattern for a long time. It is 1/8" Baltic Birch, the backer is stained with General Gel stain color "Nutmeg". First time I have stained a backer and first time I have used a Gel stain and I am real pleased with how it turned out. I have had some real disasters with other things I have attempted to stain. The piece is 21" x 21". A free pattern from The Berry Basket.
  18. Now that is "style"! Very nice.

  20. Patti is out of town for a few days, I can say what I want!!
  21. Jerry, I think you found the "better way". I always struggle with removing the backing, and I have some double sided tape that is even worse.
  22. That is awesome!
  23. Looks great!
  24. They both look great, Steve. I love that pattern and may cut it again one day.
