  1. Good looking cuttings... Thanks for showing them.
  2. Some very nice work. I like the ones with lights in them. Have you tried a Schwibbogen yet?
  3. Very nice, Alex. Everyone likes owls....
  4. I've heard of them but not tried them. When I first started scrolling, I use some from "Timberline". Ever hear of them? I don't remember how they worked.
  5. I though about the tubes being too close, but thought I'd give it a try. I skipped a row between rows so it is really going to only hold 30 instead of 60. If (IF) I keep them in order by size , I'm hoping to be able to find what I am looking for. Coarse then there is the problem that when I add a new blade type/size, I have to rearrange every thing again.... Never a perfect solution. Well, except only use a couple different blades and not think I need so many different ones.......
  6. Lew, I came back to add, you say you work with tin also. I for one would be real interested in seeing what you make with it.
  7. There was a recent thread here about blade storage. I had this setup which worked great until I out grew it. So I went with this: The little plastic test tube holder cost me $8. It will hold 60 tubes. Took me 2 minutes 26 seconds to put together. Purchased off Ebay as were the tubes... the tubes are a little over $6 for 25. All free shipping. Okay, so now I need to deal with the little drill bit srorage.
  8. Welcome to the Village. Jump in and post!

  11. That is a beautiful box, Dave.
  12. Well done. Nice clean cuts, beautiful wood.
  13. Fine job on the portrait. Each one has new challenges. That is what makes it fun.
  14. You did a great job on that. Very fine scrolling.
  15. Theresa, email it to your dad, he can post it for you. Or me.
  16. I have been on two scroll saw forums and Lumberjocks today and each one has someone looking for these books. Is it all the same person? Or why is this so popular all of a sudden?
  17. You did a great job of that.
  18. Those are very cut and very well done.
  19. Huh?
  20. Can you explain a little how that v-nailer works, do you just push them in or is it spring loaded?
  21. Welcome to our group. I live on the other side of the state, the dry part near the Tri-Cities. I think you will find that there are not a big population of scroller in the NW. Strange thing is Travis, who owns and is Mayor of the Village live in Vancouver, Wa. I guess SSV is the NW scroll saw club.
  22. Remember when buying from Amazon. Go through Scroll Saw Village. Just another way to give the Village support. Click on the "Support SSV" button and select "Shop Amazon"
  23. More than one way to skin a cat. The have a device called a hammer... or glue joint then drive a brad ir staple in through one side or a dowel or a spline, etc...
