    Nice work, Dick. I did that pattern one time when I first started scrolling. I think it is still around and drug out each season. Mine was not as colorful as yours. I like your colors.

    I saw this on FaceBook a few days ago. I thought it was a brilliant idea for using scraps, especially Baltic Birch. The person who did it lives in Italy. Just an awesome picture. His name is "Faber De Refibus".

    I only have two hurts on a scroll saw, one I, like Kevin, touched a hot blade, and got a blister. The second hurt, although so far I have survived, is breaking a blade on my Hegner. Many near heart attacks! All the years I have had it and I still have a near heart attack when it happens! Now on the table saws. One finger is about 1/16” shorter than it used to be. several big bruises and hits that put me on my knees. And a trip to emergency for 20 stitches to get the back of my hand sewed back down. I almost lost the use of my important middle finger. How could I express myself without the use of that finger?

    I would not worry about the sound of a scroll saw. Probably the quietest electrical tool in the shop. The problem is dust collection. The only way I know to make that quiet is to have it in another room. Welcome to the forum.

    Okay, but just for the sake of argument, My wife sews all the time and controls the speed with a foot pedal. I drive a car, more complicated than scrolling, I control the speed with a foot pedal. I am one who really would like to be able to control the speed of my saw with a foot pedal. I do not scroll at the same speed all the time. Different speeds for different parts of scrolling. But I yield to your advice. I do not know enough about motors to mess around with them. But, the speed control of a scroll saw is not part of the motor. It is controlled by a switch outside the motor. You turn a knob, could that not be a push mechanism? Oh, well no matter, back to scrolling.

    I seems to me that the latest 3m77 cans of spray have I purchased, clog more than in the past ones. It is bad enough that I keep a small jar of Mineral spirits that I put the caps in between sprays. They must have changed caps or something. That is what happens. Companies get something that is good and works they have to change it so it doesn't. Same thing with websites!

    Be interested in how you like it if you choose to purchase one. Their write-up is a little overstated, implying their tilting saw is a unique system. There are several brands that do the same and that feature has been around for many years. But it still could be a good saw. Grizzly has a pretty good reputation. I have one of their bandsaw. A good saw. I have purchased a couple of other tools from them, but not all of their brand. I have Never had any problem with their service or shipping.

    This is the second saw I have questioned the posting of and they took the listing down, the first one also took their posting down after writing me a very nasty response. I'm a Marine it felt good to get called such names again. But if it is legit, why do they hate questions? You know if it looks and sounds too good to be true, well, it probably is to good to be true.

    @Roberta Moreton I'm not trying to be a wise guy, just showing how little I know. But. if it is a variable speed saw, why will attaching a VS switch to it, hurt it? I used to use a deadman foot switch, but a player here whom, I respect greatly, here told me to try a push-for-on, push-for-off one and I preferred the push-on/push-off. Just personal preference.
