    You could use a monkey puzzle pattern, only don't make it a puzzle. Or try monkey silhouettes or coloring books.

    Just so you I have been doing something. I am finished with the Halloween candy boxes (Alex Fox Pattern). I am so done! I have three more cut out, but I do not intend to finish them. Maybe next year. I enjoy the cutting, the painting, not so much. I have got to fill them with candy and wait time the time to ship them. So done with the painting. Painting sucks!

    Steve has two patterns called Serenty. I think Fish cut the board he scrolled it on to the shape he wanted.

    I recently purchased a used Hawk 226vs scroll saw. An added bonus that came with it is a good-sized box of scroll saw books and magazines. I have been having a great time going through the box to see what is what. I already have some of the books, but some are new to me. The magazines are great; they appear to be mostly the old "Creative Woodworks Crafts" magazines. All from the early 2000'nds! I laid in bed last evening and looked through around 15 of them. From time to time on here, people have mentioned looking for an old one for a special pattern they wanted. If someone is looking for something, let me know, and I will watch for it as I go through the issues. Might get lucky.

    Humm! " out of the closet",, I was not going to judge. I have the same many piles of projects.

    @Allen levine, usually, the largest blade I have used is a #5. That was for thick wood, 3D cutting. I normally use a #2 or less skip pegas. But I rarely scroll more than 3/8" thick stacked. For 3D cutting, I use a double skip with fewer teeth than a skip. Anxious to see how you like intarsia. I have done a little of it. I Want to do more. To me, that is really where the artist of scroll sawing starts. Selection of woods and shaping. The only thing, in my opinion, above that is double bevel marquetry. Do not get upset, people this is my opinion. But marquetry is the real scroll saw art to me. I only wish I had the talent to do it. But time is not over for me. Went to to the Doctor yesterday, he thought I was doing very well for my advanced age (advanced age, excuse me!). I to him, he is 42, just a child yet, I hope he is as happy at my age as I am (80), That damn whippersnapper!

    I have a great place, the only thing that could make it better is more space. It is part of a daylight basement, heated and cooled with the rest of the house. Joined with a toilet, family room with my computer, and refrig and freezer close by. A window I can look out of to see if the "Feds" are coming (gun safe near by). It also has outdoor access for a quick escape when I hear momma calling. Who could ask for anything more?!

    I don't know, I surely love my Hegner. But the Hawk will get a fair shot.
