  1. I get an error on all of them
  2. But then I think a LED bulb is twice as expensive as a fluorescent. The one I want to replace is from 2004. Why pay double when a fluorescent will outlast me?
  3. That is a beautiful piece.
  4. That is a great recognizable pattern to cut. Many will love it!
  5. I would be replacing a Florscant light do you need to switch the ballast in them?
  6. Yep, I cracked the plastic cover that protects the bulb on my mag light when I broke a blade. I have also modified my Hegner so the arm will go up higher, so I have to be extra careful. I will be looking for an LED. light to replace the bulb that came with my Hawk. It is from 2004 I may not find one.
  7. Welcome to the forum. Glad you have joined us.
  8. I have purchased one expensive magnifying light and one Harbor Freight. The Harbor Freight one works best for my eyes. The expensive one has an LED light that is too bright for me. It has a glass lens instead of plastic. I like the glass but it is too powerful of magnification. A lot depends on your eyesight and preferences.
  9. Proud as you should. That is a great cutting. Congratulations!
  10. Love that Santa. All very nicely done.
  11. Mighty fine. One in there reminded me of the "grow rocks", maybe it was, "grow crystals". You got a little envelope of tiny rocks, put them in water and they "grew". Does anyone remember those? I would keep the saw, looks like the two hobbies could work together.
  12. I love that! Great job. I need to make one of Dopey for script: "That would be ME!"
  13. Awesome cutting and they look wonderful. Great job.
  14. That is a real nice Nativity. Very well done. Been looking for one to do this year, I try to do one every year. I will be looking at that one.
  15. Well, I have had my Hawk for a few weeks now. If I had to choose between the Hawk or the Hegner, I would keep the Hegner. Tensioning and clamps are so much simpler and less cumbersome than the Hawk. Hawk is a good saw, not sorry I have it, but it seems to me they could have done better on the clamps. Tensioning is not hard to figure out, but a whole lot more parts than the Hegner and does not seem necessary to me. The only real plus that the Hawk has over the Hegner is the table size.
  16. There are no major flaws in a Hegner or a Hawk! Just somethings people may prefer of some other things.. Not flaws!
  17. I would definitely take that over my Fein. Mainly because of the attachments. The Fein attachments that have brushes, the hole is so small it clogs up very quickly, and it will not attach to any of my hand tools unless I find or make adaptors.
  18. I wonder if there is a scroll saw pattern of them together. But I know them as "The Highwaymen" I guess that is the song they sang together.
  19. Or just design it so the pin snaps in, then to release it, you raise the arm sightly, and it releases the pin, and the arm comes down. I am sure some engineer could figure that out pretty easily.
  20. Are you using a foot switch? If so could that account for the jerk?
  21. Glad you have joined us.
  22. That would be great!
  23. That is awesome!
  24. Very well done. I have done her other tree one and have the pattern for that one. You did a great job.
  25. Yes, they are all great, but the Hot Rod is best for me.
