Dan, you are having entirely too much fun with these toys! Makes me want to get back at it. Nicely done.
  3. Dave you are really doing great with this scrolling. I think you did an awesome job of inlaying. The fit and finish is outstanding. Sorry the star is a hair off, but lesson learned and that is a good thing.
  4. Okay, Steve that is really, really nice! "Beautiful", yes!
  5. You certainly did a nice job on the Joker. I love the coloring on it.
  6. Some very pretty ornaments
  7. You say the plans are in metric, just but a metric ruler and start working with metric. I built a street organ from plans from England. Most measurements were in metric. Once I got use to it, I found it mush easier and quicker than our system.
  8. Great idea and job creating it. How about a Jaguar x 2?
  9. Very nice. How about some coins like Hotshot does?
  10. Pretty darn amazing!
  11. Very nice, he will enjoy that. I helped my daughter make a flamingo on when she was a kid. She really did a great job making it, not so good at filling it though.
  12. Oh ya. Shot many with my 22 cal. when I was a kid. Brings back many memories. Nice portrait, well scrolled.
  13. Well done!
  14. Interested!? I have a 3/4 ton pick up..... By the way, Dick I have been waiting for your call. My Ex is not running as smooth as it use to, but good enough to get some scrolling done on and play with some spirals. I'm trying to use flat blades on my current project, they suck!
  15. Very very nice, Dave!
  16. Awesome, Mr. Heppnerguy!
  17. Ya, getting old is certainly not for wimps! Seems like something is always wearing out, hurting or no longer functions. Hope you don't have to go through a replacement, but it is pretty darn great that now days they can replace some things. The alternative is constant pain and no function.
  18. I am the other member Larry was discussing this with, I think. As I stated in another thread, I would be great if someone could do a tutorial and put in the library here of the process of greasing the bearings. There are a lot of DeWalt and Delta owners here. I do not know about it I have never done it. I have never heard this mentioned regarding the Excalibur saws. I know little about bearings, but what bearings I see in mine, I think they are sealed bearings, can't grease them(?).
  19. Can't say I have seen many that had coloring, but have seen a few. Usually paint was used. I really like what you have done. I have thought about it once or twice, but don't know enough about staining and am not artistic enough to have the nerve to try. You know after hours of cutting, I don't want to take a chance of ruining it. Love the way you did the barn, looks just like an old barn with the paint wearing off. Super job.
  20. This is really beautiful. I would really like to know if patterns are available for these. My Father made a doll house for my daughter when she was little. Because of his early death, it was not completely finished. I never got around to it (I know, my bad). My daughter kept it for years and because she had no daughter finally gave it to her Husband's mother, who wanted to finish it and give it to one of her granddaughters. She did finish it and gave it to the granddaughter. I would love to make a set of furniture like yours to add to it.
  21. WOW, Dick the saw gods were watching over you for sure. The best I have seen was a like new one for $300. I almost bought it but thought about is a little too long and the guy I was with grabbed it.
  22. I have an Excaliber and the arm on it lifts and stay up, well most the time. I have had it come back down while I an trying to thread a blade. It made me nervous, I did not want that to happen when I was working on a delicate picture. So I started using my trusty "holder-upper" that I made for my DeWalt and used on it until I purchased a lift. I use in on the Ex now when things get delicate as a "just-in-caser". Got to show it off it is a masterpiece of word working!
  23. Welcome to the forum. Don't tell me 72 is old, I get depressed easily!
  24. That is a great box. Prize winning for sure. Way to go Alex.
