  3. I love that! I have always loved Nativity scenes and would like to have a collection of them that are scrolled sawed. A local church has a display of nativity each year (at leas they did until covid. It is open to anyone that want to show... I guess it is really popular, they have nativity sets from all over the world that people have collected.. I hope they start that again.

  5. I had a fein hooked up that way and the motor sizzled and smoked after 3year and 3 month of use, I often thought that the constant on and off of fret work contributed to that. Could be wrong, but if I ever get that set up again, I will not set it up to go on and off with the machine. The fein did come to hooked up that way.
  6. Not to change the subject but I have a question dealing with this subject. I have read several time that shop vacuums are not made to be run a for long periods of time. Hence not good for dust collection purposes. Yet I also read of a lot of people using them. I guess the question is are shopvacs appropriate to use as as dust collectors?

  16. Just putting this out there, May be of use to someone that wants to use spiral blades. This is a video by Charles Dearing. He is what started me on spirals many years ago... He ha s great pattern designer. His site is Woodenvisions.com. Keep in mind, Charles has never used a straight blade. Most the pictures he scrolled were big, I mean in the 3 ft., by 4 ft. range. He has always use a #5 spiral blade. He video helped me get started with spiral, although I do it quite differently than him and I mostly is a 3/0 sized spiral when I use them.. But this is a good video to get started, them experiment and find out what works best for you.

  18. All the pipes I made for my street organ are made of recycled redwood that was on my deck... It was esay to work with, kinda like working with clear grin cedar, only a little harder. Little harder than cedar little softer than mahongany.
