  3. Nice to know this technique for coins. Got me wondering if it would work with wood. But I guess that would depend on the wood too. Thanks for sharing this Randy.
  4. The only resolution I ever kept was to not make any more. Things I want to try or work on would be Intarsia and marquetry. Probably should spend more time with my lathe too.

  7. Two orders I did for gifts. One for customer and one for my son in law.
  8. I did 2 of them for my grand sons. I cut out the letters, marked the space on the front of the toy box. Traced the letters to the box then routed out the area where the letters would go. A little clean up with a sharp chisel then glued into place. Hope this helps.

  12. Here is the one I have been cutting for this season. Has gone over at shows very well. I don't have a photo of one cut but this was the one included with the pattern from Sue Mey. It uses 1/8 bb (lettering on arch), 1/4bb (uprights and arch), 3/4 pine (figures) and 1/2 pine (base ). Lots of fun to cut too

  16. Thanks for the comments Frank. I do them all from scratch. Some I use inkscape for. Travis has a tutorial on here on how to do them. You can find the links here . For others I use Corel Draw .
  17. I do what Jim does. I seal mine then sign them. Lightly sand them with 220 sign then apply a final top coat.

  19. There is a program named GIMP (free). There are some videos on here on how to use it for portraits. Personally I use Corel Draw and have yet to master it. I'm not good at portraits but working on it.Like anything else there is a learning curve.
  20. Christmas is crunch time for all of us that scroll. The Mrs said no more custom orders as I don't have shop time for them. Great way to close out the year

  22. I donate to our local food bank on a monthly basis. I wanted to draw up some patterns but that time thing and shop time got in the way. I'll donate additional to another charity. American Cancer society in regards to this effort. Thank you all for all you do !

  25. Congrats on a good 2 day show :) When I went to Square a few years ago my sales increase by three fold. Never looking back !
