Well, if it were me, I'd probably try to get a true genuine Excalibur from Taiwan. At least that's where the Pegas is made and they are essentially the same saw. Best of luck.

Are we talking new or used? It's hard to believe you can't buy a new saw there. What's wrong with Australia?

I contacted Jett and am waiting for a reply. After doing some online shopping of my own, I have come up with a price for the parts plus tax of just about $33. Plus shipping to me and then shipping to you I'm guessing at around $60 total. But, I've never shipped overseas so I have no realistic idea of what it will cost to mail the parts to you. They shouldn't amount to much in the way of weight so it'll just depend on how bad our two governments want to line their pockets. I'll let you know after I get more info. You might want to PM me your mailing address so I can get an estimate.

Do you have access to Hegner saws? There would be no doubt as to their quality and parts are always available.

I'm not sure about international mailing but could somebody here procure the parts you need and mail them to you? I can't believe it costs $40 to mail and envelope. Let us know if we can be of help.

Well, living where I do, I can pretty much do whatever, whenever. I've got a small heater in my shop and I just installed an a/c unit through the back wall for when it gets hot. We live in a very moderate climate. Right now, it looks like rain but the rest of the state is in the 90's and 100's. The only thing that stops me from getting things done is me. I'm basically lazy when it comes to stuff that I don't feel like doing. Like painting. We've been putting that off for a couple of years now.

It would be helpful if the OP would give us more info and answer the questions asked so far. Too many people duck in long enough to post a question and then disappear. I, for one, would like to know the outcomes of these dilemmas. Once again, we have no idea where this person is located. That info is useful.

Are you living where 220 is the norm? If not can you get 110 a.c. parts for it?

Most saws have tables that will tilt one way or the other. Some both. The Ex saws tilt the head instead of the tables. I like to cut clockwise so I tilt the head whatever way will allow me to do that. But, with that said, I am still able to cut counter-clockwise. Just not as well. I'm also somewhat ambidextrous in some things. I bat and play golf right-handed. Bowling, left-handed. I know, I'm a screwball.

If I'm not mistaken, the Jet saws come out of the same factory as the Excaliburs, Excelciors, and the other clones. I'll bet something will work.

Not if you want to make a bowl.

If you ever try to cut a bowl and have to cut at an angle, you'll quickly find out what the difference is. Think about it for a while and you'll see what I mean.
