    Same here is sunny Southern California. Prices go up but NEVER come back down to where they were. As our dollar becomes less and less valuable, we will have to live with the hyper inflation.

    I think the only difference between your saw and the one in the manual is throat capacity. 16 inch/20 inch. If the model numbers mean anything. As for maintenance, I think you will have to wing it. Planned obsolescence was what they had in mind. Wear it out and replace it. A few drops of oil at any wear points will go a long way.

    I recommend a piece of anti-fatigue mat on the floor and then set the stand on it. I have all my saws sitting on it and they have very little vibration. It looks like you have a concrete floor so that would help a lot.

    That might be just what I need. I've never been able to cut a straight line with any kind of saw.

    The first Corvette I ever rode in was a 57 with fuel injection. My buddy Lil John Lombardo had it and took me for a ride. Fastest car I had ever been in up til then. A few years later he took me for a ride in his fiverglass T bucket with a 409 in it. Did a wheelie and scared the bejeebers out of me. The good old days before the "rice burners".

    Yes, it would be nice if everything didn't have a prop. 65 warning on it. Sanity will return at sone point. Praying for the recall to be successful. As for saws, or anything else for that matter, when you have 30 plus million people all crowded together you're bound to find whatever you want. Except mineral spirits.

    There are a ton of great saws near me right now. 2 Hegners in the right price range. One of them has all the things that make the saw great and she just lowered the price to $300. I actually wrote to her and advised her that she was pricing it too low and should hang in for a while at her original price. There is one just like it on Marketplace for $700 so at $500 she was a very great price.

    I've spent most of my afternoon cruising the web to see if I could find any more info on your saw. I was just about to write to you and tell you that you have the only one ever sold when I ran across one in Texas that was for sale 8 months ago. I have no idea whether they ever sold it but here is a link to their ad. You might contact them to see if they have the owner's manual. I did also find a manual online that they wanted $0.95 to download. So, there is still hope.     These saws are considered low end and have probably frustrated more new scrollers. But if you have the patience and learn to use it, when you upgrade to a better saw, you will be amazed at what you have learned and what you will be able to do with a better saw. Many new scrollers have missed out on a great hobby because of a bad saw.

    So you use your "clutch" foot instead of your "gas & brake" foot huh?. I use my right foot even though I'm left "footed".

    There is no knob. It's all done with the tension lever. But from the parts breakdown it shows a threaded rod at the rear that is enclosed. I might be inclined to drill a hole through the case at the back and install longer rod with a knob so as to add or decrease the tension at that point similar to how you set the tension on a Hegner and Excalibur. Not a hard job.

    Ok, here is what I found. It seems that the number plate on your saw is either wrong or it was replaced by another saw. I found this manual online and I think it's your saw. All the tensioning is done with the lever by turning it one direction or the other. mmh.pdf
