  1. I'd sure love to attend any scroll saw get together but here in So Cal, it's just not something that anybody does. I think it's because we've become too much of a melting pot here and there's just no interest in woodworking. Not sure why.
  2. Pictures? Ahhh! Never mind. I did as you suggested and now see what you are talking about. For any kind of wood project outdoors, I'd say varnish is the best way to go. I built a redwood gate and did about 4 coats of marine spar varnish on it and it held up very well.
  3. Yes, pictures truly are worth a thousand words. And with a phone, it's so easy.
  4. That's the one that the demo guy used to take to all the woodworking shows. It's the first one that I ever saw demo'd. I fell in love with it even then. But, the next show I went to in Colorado Springs, the Hawk was being demo'd there with it's 20 inch capacity so I bought one. Sadly, it never got used and I sold it to my neighbor.
  5. OMG! I hope not. He answered my email a month or so ago. From the box?
  6. Yes, the Dust Deputy is usually mounted on a 5 gallon pail. In fact it comes with 2 of them and can be doubled if your vac is too powerful. Anyway, to answer your question, the little mini cyclones work great. Les has his mounted to a larger canister that I do but I'm going to use a 3 lb. coffee can on the one for my Ex21. On my Hegner I might try something larger as I'll be using a more powerful vac.
  7. I was really taken with the 2 tone color scheme of the Pegas so something in that order might work. Color is really not important to me as long as it's not something that ends up looking like a Tijuana taxi.
  8. Are they actively looking for a buyer? I'm curious as to what would make you want to buy them out. Not being nosy but with my business mind, I'm just wondering.
  9. Wow! That looks like a pretty nice saw. Let us know how it works out after some time. What is the maximum height of material that you can put through it.?
  10. Why? He should be happy about being asked.
  11. Well, if push came to shove, I'd opt for the road trip. Nice scenery out your way.
  12. Shoot a pic of Wolfgang. He's been a big help to me and I'd like to see what he looks like. Thanks.
  13. I was thinking the same Paul. Nobody gives their drill presses a thought and they are a lot harder to change speeds. I pretty much stay at the same speed on my saws. I never run them wide open.
  14. It even matches your shirt Les.
  15. Sad to hear that. I had great service from them on my air cleaner.
  16. That's what I'm working on now. I have a small Oreck vac the will fit nicely within the confines of the factory stand. I have all tbe piping but need another of the mini cyclones. I will be ordering one soon.
  17. Will do. I want to hear Adam Carolla. He's great.
  18. As I said...what makes them better than a Multimax?
  19. The first thing I noticed was no quick release tension lever in convenient location.
  20. I've wondered the same thing. I know they are a Hegner but what makes them better than the MultiMax?
  21. Are podcasts free? How do you get them? I've never heard one.
  22. Yeah, at least wipe the dust off of it. Not how I sell stuff.
  23. Thanks for the kind thought Kevin. If you look closely at them you should see that the slot appears closer & or wider. There are actually 3 sizes for the different size range of blades. I only bought 2 of the mid size. They seem to work for everything I do. Hang on to them because used saws seldom come with them.
  24. Cheaper for one thing! I had to buy a couple of bottom clamps as my saw only came with one. Add the Quick clamp plus shipping and Boom! $75 bucks.
  25. You could do something crazy and offer a warranty plan with it. Whatever price they agree on, tell them that for X dollars, you'll give them a warranty on the ??? parts of the saw. If you have to do a buy back, well so be it.
