  1. I humbly bow to your superior knowledge JT.
  2. You misunderstood. I would be sad to lose you. I am still very sad over losing Rockytime and Scrollsaw703 but it's life. Congrats on your great family.
  3. I bought 4 of the HF 48" overhead shop lights that were prior to the ones that could be daisy chained. I have 2 on each side of my small shop. I turn 2 of them off at times because of their brightness. But I've never experienced any kind of "blue light" syndrome. I do like having plenty of light when working or reading or ???. I could never go back to the flourescent bulbs again. I have 2 of the LED worklights for my scrollsaws.
  4. Better light and longer life. It will be the last one you will buy.
  5. Paul, it should just be a "plug n play". I ordered the bulb on Amazon and bingo, it was in and working.
  6. The arm doesn't move.
  7. I've always questioned the tension method on my EX's too. If I left the rear knob at the same spot when going from a 5 to a 1 or 2 mgt. As soon as I'd flip the lever the blade would break. So I had to back the knob off a 1/4 turn or so.
  8. Frank, can you offer any info on your magnetic light? I've seen a few that magnetically mount to the sides of the upper arm. It seems like they were for sewing machines or something like that. About $10-15 ea. Can you maybe show a pic?
  9. Are referring to a "green Excalibur"? If so, what was the problem with it? I have 2 of them and no problems at all.
  10. I was amazed at how much dust my box fan collected with just a cheapie furnace filter.
  11. I can see many ingenious ways to release that pin without reaching. A cable with pulleys comes to mind.
  12. 50 minutes ago, Mike Crosa said: Kevin I had vertigo and a good therapist and believe it or not You Tube helped me a lot. Prior to seeing the therapist I did some exercises for this at home based on the youtube. When I went to see him I had been cured. So don't despair with vertigo, it is treatable. My wife did the same. An easy procedure that stopped the vertigo.
  13. I was going to ask just what you needed a user manual for. They are a simple device. Ask specific questions and you will get answers here.
  14. Try importing it. When you open inkscape, if something is already there close that page. File, close. Not quit.
  15. Me too!
  16. Does bloodwood stay that color or does it turn dark like padauk? I'm very disappointed in the projects I've made using padauk.
  17. Sad news. Father time catches up with all of us eventually. May he rest in peace.
  18. Nice stuff J.T.
  19. I did that on our dining table. Wife not happy.
  20. I used Pegas super skips in #5. As said, no reverse teeth needed. I was cutting some old hard Douglas fir cut down 2x4's. Tough stuff.
  21. I'm in the same boat. I hated having to carry readers with me. I was used to wearing glasses and actually missed them. So I had a new progressive lens made that had no prescription on the top half and only at the point where my eyes needed help. About 3 feet out and closer. So for me, nothing changed. I still use the same lighted magnifier and computer monitor distance. I have the "Transistion" coating that darkens when outdoors. So, one pair of glasses is all I need. No shirt pocket is necessary. I won't be losing my glasses because they are on my head unless I'm sleeping or showering.
  22. That's great Paul. It looks great. Just like the one I had. They do take up a lot of space. Very large format. Once you figure out the tensioning set up, you'll love it. Set it and forget it. That paint spatter may soften up with a heat gun. Now that you have finally pulled the trigger, you can get back to sawing and forget the ads. I'm just about to to pull the trigger on that 14" Hegner that I was telling about. The guy just wants it gone but so far no bites. He's asking $100 complete with stand, foot switch and lite. I've tried to tell him it's worth more but he just wants it gone. So, it may come home with me. I really don't need another saw but it's really tugging at me. Even my wife said I should go get it. That's saying something.
  23. Very nice.
  24. I live so close to the ocean that the water table doesn't allow for basements.
