  1. The owl looks like a Stealth bomber coming at you.
  2. I have to ask, what are you making in wood that thick? If you are just practicing, there are better ways.
  3. That is exactly what you want Paul. That saw is like new. It's got all the latest stuff on it. The latest table and motor. And it appears to have not been used at all. I don't see how you could go wrong on that. It's about $900 off the price of a new one. Get in your truck and go get it.
  4. You won't be disappointed.
  5. Very nice Paul. I want to make bird houses too.

All I said they were laser cut and that I think they look cheap and my final word was I hate lasers. I think everyone here knows I hate lasers because they came up before. Then you get on here and no one else mentioned anything about hating lasers and you went into this long diatribe about how you use lasers and because one does not use one knows nothing about it and this was all directed at me. No one else mentioned the hate for lasers. It is old timers who do not want to move into the future and all that stuff. I am not stupid Kevin. I know when I am the target of a reply. Yes I used a 3D image of an angel for displaying certain religious pens I make. They are called props. Not for sale. Run away again. It does not bother me one way or other. I try to add when I can but maybe it is time to move away from this site all together. being I do not do much scrolling anymore anyway. Good luck with your lasers and scrollsaw work. Ray to answer your question you yelled at me for being negative one time before so I figured you would again. No I was misunderstood and I thought I had explained myself. Maybe not. But, I do see a lot of negativity in your posts lately. Especially toward Kevin. Why not just ignore him if he riles you? I hate to see this happening here. We have enough problems in our lives without having them here too. It's time for both of you to stop bickering.
  7. Well said Kevin. But please don't leave the SSV. Your input is valuable to most all of us so don't let one person shut you down.
  8. Why would I yell at you JT?
  9. Sounds like a nice shop. Too bad you didn't do the heated floor. I would think that would be the best way. From the ground up.
  10. Who is Tom Sevy? Not familiar.
  11. Save time, money and hassle and buy a good used brand name saw. I had a cheap saw and it was under-powered and the wheels were out of planar alignment. I now have a Chinese Delta and it is much better. I see many used saws at about $300.
  12. Very very nice. You are so talented.
  13. You have 2 choices, raise the ceiling or lower the floor. Problem solved.
  14. I can only hope I never have to know the answer to your question.
  15. I've only bought one box of scraps and they were all labeled. Thank goodness.
  16. Is the upper arm adjusted to where it is parallel with the table? It sounds like it might be way out of whack.
  17. Up til now I've been using a H/F bar magnet. It is very strong and all I need to do is tap it in the direction required. I'd love to have a couple of those mag switches but they are just too pricey for this old cheapskate
  18. 2 hours ago, JTTHECLOCKMAN said: That is fine if you miter slots are parallel to each other, then that is correct. A bandsaw is not as easy. Every time you install a new blade it can sit on the tires differently and will track different. Bandsaw blades are flimsy so they being tough to track straight. Good luck. As I said I neve set my bandsaw fence to the table. Always to the blade that is doing the cutting. I use a fence that is not attached to table but uses magnets so I can fine-tune it easily. Good luck.
  19. His youtube channel is Ohyo56. He hasn't been doing alot as of late.
