  1. At this point in time, I've not found it to be a big deal regarding the front of the table. If it ever does, I'll make some sort of an extension or add-on table. Or, as I mentioned 3 pages back, I'll just re-drill the holes and move it myself.
  2. Les, you mentioned that you didn't want to "blow" the dust around. When you are going to be cutting cedar, why not put a box fan next to your saw with a furnace filter attached and blowing away from the saw. Then you can aim your blower right at the point of cut and the dust will be picked up by the furnace filter. Not 100% but pretty much. I have done this with very cheap filters. In fact I bought a 4 pack for about 4$ at H/D. and bungee'd two on each side of the fan. It's amazing how much they catch. You wouldn't have to do that with anything else, just the cedar. A thought!
  3. I'm going to try my hand at making my own. Someday.
  4. That's weird. I just sold my 226VS Ultra, serial number 15763. It was made in 2000-1. The serial on yours is much higher than mine so it must mean that serial numbers really don't mean much.
  5. Pics please. I have no idea what you are talking about.
  6. Doesn't your blower work? It should keep that dust from piling up.
  7. I didn't know there was a free one. Thanks.
  8. Congrats on your new saw. You will love how smooth it is.
  9. What does Pandora cost? I've never checked out anything except Sirius in our car.
  10. It sure is. We visited our friends in Dandridge and they took us to the Great Smokey Mountains State Park. Beautiful country. Gatlinburg and all those towns around there are fun. Dollyworld is still on our bucket list.
  11. That's awesome Brenda. I hope you got a good one and your troubles are over. Now just get that old one resurrected and you'll wonder whant to cut next. I know having two great saws, the biggest problem is figuring out which saw to use. That's not a bad problem to have. Best of luck with your new toy.
  12. I know he is back to trucking again. Not that he wanted to but it became a necessity. He's had a tough run of luck over the last few years. I hope God shines on him and his wife at some point and they get a break. I go back and forth with him on Messenger almost daily.
  13. That's awesome. There's another old trucker on the Village. I hope he sees it. Hey, @SCROLLSAW703. Check it out.
  14. Thank you and I know I will. I can get along very nicely without someone telling me how to live my life. I understand it to a point but then they overstep. EVERYTIME!
  15. I always forget to look at the members map. Thanks.
  16. What is a Merel clamp?
  17. The way I see it Les, once we pass 75, we are all in the same group. Thanks for the well wishes and we will be stopping in Colo. Springs on our way East to visit our son & family sometime right after Labor Day. We will spend 2-3 months this trip in our search of Tennessee. I will wave each time we pass by.
  18. And God created shotguns.
  19. Thanks Dick, he is one of my "faves" here on the Village. I worry about him and Les and well anybody who is getting up there with me.
  20. Speaking of Scrappile, where oh where has he gone? Paul, are you out there listening?
  21. I love the music you have playing in the background. Can you elaborate on who/what it is and what type of music is it called? I like soft jazz and blues like Eric Clapton plays. Any suggestions.
  22. Well, the worst case scenario as I see it is you will end up with two great saws once you get this one fixed. I'm thinking now that you know the problem, it should not be that difficult to fix it. Cheers.
  23. As Kevin suggested, if you can get the measurements of the bushing from Axminster, you should be able to buy a bushing most anywhere. If need be, we here in the U.S. could round one up and send it to you. Do you have anybody who can do the pressing out/in? Have you contacted Wolfgang at Advanced Machinery to see if he can help? Have no fear, we'll all come together and get you back in business.
  24. When I built the stand for my EX21, I did just that but I put wheels on the rear of it so I could do like a wheelbarrow to move it around. It has worked out great. Sitting on the rubber matting there is virtually no vibration. I am doing the exact same thing with the new stand for the EX16 but it has the onboard dust system on it. It will be interesting to see if it's any different.
