    I know that I would not feel comfortable trying to do that cut on my Hawk. At least not yet. My comfort zone is on my EX. I was just wondering which of your saws was your most comfortable to you.

    Wow! That's all I can say. Those are some pretty impressive letters for sure. I regularly cut 1 3/4 " and have no problem with my EX21.

    This is EXACTLY why I posted a while back about posting your location. It's impossible to advise anybody on anything without knowing where you are.

    Frank, as much as I like the look of the zebra wood, in my estimation, the two dragons get sort of lost in it. It looks great, don't get me wrong but I think a light colored, single color background really makes them pop out.

    I really do like your examples and yes, the black is the best. And you are right, someone will suggest "heliotrope" I'm sure.

    I think something bright as a background brings out the dragons a lot more. Maybe a shade of yellow.

    Make sure you clean the crud off your shoe soles so you don't "crud up" your sanding sleeves. I did try using my shoe on my sanding mop but when I laid on the floor I couldn't get my foot up high enough to reach my drill press. Too high.

    I'm so happy to hear that things might be settling down for you folks. You've had a bad run of it for sure. My heart breaks over the loss of wildlife and people's homes. Glad to hear you're safe.

    I suggested to our compatriot Brad (Scrollsaw703) that since he is fairly close to them and has a Hawk saw that he manages to do miraculous work with, he should contact them and put forth the idea that he could be their customer service rep right from home. I don't know if he gave any thought to it but to me, it would be a win-win for both sides. He's knowledgeable and available. They need someone who isn't part of their farming business to be a go-between for the customers and the company. I hope he follows up on it.

    So, what I gather from all of you is that if I order a couple blade holders and a "plastic" blade holder clip today I might get them by summer? Is that correct?

    I realize you are just following the pattern Kevin but do you see what I mean? If it's all made out of one piece of wood why not add that little bit so that the back side angel wing "flows" to the groom side? That's all. You've done a great job on these. I'm not trying to take away from that.

    Thanks JT. Maybe something good is going to happen over there. I certainly hope so. It would be a shame to see a great U.S. made product go down the drain for lack of leadership.

    Those are really neat Kevin. One thing though that I noticed is that the wing in the background should show up more between the couple. It appears to be "cut off" as it goes behind the bride and shows up again after passing behind the groom. Is that a mistake? Some small part of it should still be view-able between them.

    That is an amazingly difficult project Paul and you are doing a masterful job on it. I hope to someday acquire the skill it takes to do this type of work. You are the MAN!

    Yeah, after going back and looking at it again, I guess my idea wouldn't work so good. But, it sure would be nice to have that small base to work with.
