Scott, you mentioned in your video that the company is in California. I looked at their entire website but could find no information on who/what/where they are. Can you possibly supply some info on the company. Since I live in So.Cal. I thought I might contact them and see about picking one up at their location and maybe talk to someone. Thanks. Also, where did you get the software and how much was it? Does any software come with the unit or are you on your own for that part?

Try Lexan. It is far better than Plexiglass.

I'd like to know how you drink coffee with your dust mask on. If you aren't wearing a mask, the other stuff doesn't matter. As has also been said, catching the dust at the source with a vac is the primary thing to do. If you are hanging over your saw cutting, you are breathing in a ton of dust. Once it gets into your lungs it never comes out.

That's the same one I have in my 9 x 13 shop. And yes it does work well.

Thanks for that great explanation. Pics are always helpful. By the way, I posted a long while back on how to reroute the wire coming out of the side of that foot switch so that both wires come up the same place. It really helps to keep both wires in the same orientation. I hated that wire coming out of the side. It was always getting in the way. I will have to check our Costco for the chair. Thanks again.

That's a very nice chair. Can you offer up any info on it? Also, do you use a foot switch? If so, how? I have a shop stool that I have been using for my Hawk but I haven't come up with a suitable place to mount my foot switch. Any ideas?

Just for the heck of it, I decided to clean out my DD. It had quite a bit of fine dust in the bottom of it. Tomorrow I'll open up my Fein vac and see what it looks like. It has a thick hepa filter in it. The bucket on my Dustopper appears to be catching quite a bit of my table saw sawdust. I use it for that primarily. I have hooked it up to my Ridgid spindle sander and it works great on it.

Well, today I had NO BUSINESS working with the router. I'll take another run at it tomorrow. I have improved my circle jig so that it can't move on me. I might even have figured out a way to save my two boards. Not sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

That is very similar to the one I have. There were some folks who moved out of here a couple of years ago and I scavenged it from their lot before all the junk pickers got to it. Great little chair for my EX. Still need something taller for the Hawk though.

Well Les, I'm here to make YOU feel better. I made a circle cutting jig yesterday for my Grandpa's old 7/8 H.P. Porter Cable router. It has no bells or whistles but it just works. When I do my part that is. So, there I am with two pieces of walnut 10 x 10 inches. Going to route a 1/4" deep by 5/16" dado around the under side of the top piece for my 1/4" BB panel holder to hide in. Well, I did everything I could think of to make it right. I bored a pilot hole for the 5/16" cutter to start in and a 1/4" hole in the center for my pilot to fit in for the jig. All went great until I tried to widen the dado a few thousandths. I wasn't watching carefully enough and when I flipped the go button it jumped out of my hands and hit the driveway. That would not have been too bad but on it's way out of the cut, it dug in and tore the side wall out of one side. Ruined!!! So, I figured ok, I'll just do another one. I had another piece to work with. Once again, all good. Until the damned center pin came loose and I didn't realize it. All of a sudden, I've got an eggs shaped dado and it wandered out enough to take out another side wall. So, there went $20 worth of custom milled wood. Luckily I still have enough to make some more pieces but it gets really frustrating when I, who is supposed to be PERFECT at everything I do, screwed up. I don't use a router enough to stay in practice I guess. So, after using all the blue language I could think of, I cleaned up my mess and decided to call it a day. Now, I'm here bleeding my heart out to all of you. DANG!!!

Thanks Jim. I was going to use some H/F rubber wheels on one side with smaller locking casters on the other. When I built my EX cart, I did that with just two legs. The 6" wheels from H/F use a 1/2" axle so I bought a couple of long bolts/lock nuts and washers. I incorporated a collapsible PVC handle so that I can lift one end and roll it outdoors. I'm going to build a different ramp so that I can move stuff out and down a bit easier. There is a 6" difference between my shop floor and the driveway.

I'm much the same situation. I try to keep my bench clear. I have a vice mounted on one end and a little Delta drill press on the other end. I keep all of my portable tools under the bench on two shelves. I'm trying desperately to figure out a way to keep my planer up on a stand that is mobile enough to take outdoors. It's so darn heavy that I can't lift it without hurting my back. That's why I'm really liking that flip top stand for the planer and my Ridgid sander. If I build it the way I have in my mind, I'll be able to roll it down and out of my shop fairly easily. Of course, that's in my mind. In reality it probably won't work that way. Oh well..............

As already mentioned, if it runs smoothly it is worth $100. The stand alone sells for more than that on eBay. Any idea of the vintage? It would be nice to see some pics of it. We can tell a not more with them. There are many things to be aware of.
