  1. Here ya go Kevin..... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PD9ULS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. I found on Amazon a plastic rack that came with 60 tubes with caps. I think it was about $15 bucks. I'll see if I can find the order. It's been a couple of years. The tubes fit the holes in the EX perfectly and are the right length.
  3. I never did lift but now I understand owning the weights. Lol.
  4. I too was wondering about wood paneling. I want to cover the walls of my shop and thought it would be cheaper than the heavy white pegboard.
  5. Got it. Now I understand your post. I had no idea about the cedar pollen season. All we ever have around here is mold and mildew and Santa Ana winds.
  6. Not at all. I just couldn't find any "red" cedar that has more consistent color/grain. Not sure what you mean by pollen killing you, etc. Did I miss something?
  7. When I was doing the compound cuts for the votive holder that I just finished, I started out using aromatic cedar because I couldn't find any red cedar. Well, I got a couple of them cut and then I ran into a piece that had a definite color change between the red and white wood. When I took it out of the tape, the piece literally split right along that color line. And all the rest of my wood had that same color line running through it. So, I had to change over to mahogany and recut all the pieces that I had already cut. But, as Stoney says, it's called practice. I love it.
  8. The only thing required is a sense of humor.
  9. Be careful when cutting cheap luan. I got hold of some throw away stuff when I first started scrolling. I wasn't using a mask and I breathed in the fine dust from it. I don't know what was in that wood but I had a terrible allergic reaction to it. I tossed it all in the dumpster.
  10. Believe me, I know just what you're talking about. All I have to do is get 5 steps away from the john and it kicks in. Actually, I've renamed our "john" to "jim" so I can say that I go to the "gym" every day at least once.
  11. For sure Travis. It's really strange what goes there and what gets through. I check mine on a daily basis just to be sure.
  12. I find those along the freeway all the time. I'll have to be more careful before bringing them home. Maybe that's what they are being used for. Long trips and such.
  13. Well, in the days of olde, they used "chamber pots" so that may be your answer. With my "old man's bladder" I take it as a sign that I need to get up and move every once in a while. I've just about done in my neighbor's hedge. LOL.
  14. I didn't but I do now. Thanks for the levity. Definitely needed.
  15. After looking at your pic, I saw that nice carpet and realized that you must be set up in a room in doors. How did you manage that? I mentioned something about bringing my saw inside and got the "stink eye" in return. What's your secret?
  16. Thanks Dan. And JT I guess also. I will have to make it a point to keep an eye open for a used one. I see now what you are talking about JT. The little twist lock on the crank arm looks like it would work just fine.
  17. JT, if you don't mind and have the time, would you post the model number of your bench top press and maybe a pic or two of what you are talking about? I'm not sure I understand it as you described it. I have been looking on C/L and have come to the conclusion that the old Craftsman presses were the last to include a quill clamp. I sure do miss mine. I never should have sold it.
  18. Entirely possible Jerry. I have a box full of them and try to use them wherever I can.
  19. Very nice stand. I built one for my Dewalt that is almost exactly like yours but I put the single leg in front so I could straddle it. Good luck with your new TOY!
  20. Thank you to all. I have done some very serious (LOL) experimentation on this subject and the long and SHORT of it is, the bits are too short. With that said, I ordered a mini drill chuck and I also found that Grizzly has a nice set of 6" length bits so I ordered those also. I think I will be able to now do what I set out to do the day before yesterday. Another thing that I found out is, there is a wealth of knowledge here on SSV but there are also way too many ways for folks to jerk each other's chains. So, I will have to be very careful what questions I pose in the future. I don't want to be the spark that ignites the flame and burn this house down. Once again, thank you to everybody for taking the time to read and reply to my predicament.
  21. Dan, it was a monsoon all day here. I had to turn over our deck furniture to keep it from blowing away. My wife's hanging plants took it tough. Almost gone.
  22. I wouldn't do it until it's out of warranty and I also thought that you could get away with maybe taking just part of that casting nub off.
  23. God will wait patiently on you until you find the pieces. I'm sure.
  24. I will do that once I've got it done. Right now, it's raining cats and dogs outside and I'm not going out in it. Thanks for your interest though.
  25. There is a post somewhere here on SSV that shows how to cut off that stop nub and gain a whole lot of arm height. Not sure you would want to do that to a brand new saw but it definitely solves that problem.
