  1. I haven't ordered blades from here, but I see the are now carrying Pegas. Nice to see another choice for the Pegas blades in Canada. I have ordered other items from here. Good service. https://store.workshopsupply.com/catalogue/
  2. It isn't for the best of reasons - a Celebration of Life, but it will be nice to see lots of family.
  3. I will be heading to Toronto at the end of the month for a family event. Perfect opportunity to get the Christmas gifts ready to take (instead of shipping). Toy car is Cherry with Maple bumpers - pattern from here. Tic Tac Toe is bb ply with maple covers. Original pattern from Al Baggetta. Added the box cover myself. Segmented snowman pattern from Steve Good. These are for my nieces & nephew so I asked them their favourite colours. Scarves are done in those. It was kinda surprising that 3 of the 4 liked the same colours. These are painted with craft paints. Buttons also painted, because I didn't have any small black ones. Everything is finished with Walrus Oil.
  4. Looks great. I will not be making one for hubby. He has waay to many to accommodate.
  5. There are no flaws in our work - it is all just design choices.
  6. Looks great Paul. Brilliant idea to use the Aspen on the head.
  7. Fabulous cutting Dick
  8. Beautiful
  9. Looks great. I have made a few. One that I copied at the correct size and two that were much smaller. I found them quite easy to cut/paint/assemble except for the hanger. I still don't get it right
  10. Steve Good has a bunch of kitchen patterns.
  11. That is a great looking puzzle box.
  12. Welcome back Kevin. As the other Kevin says - DON'T OVERDO!
  13. Great cutting and idea to add the glasses!
  14. Very nice.
  15. A couple of quick Steve Good puzzles for winter craft sale. Passed the hubby test....he couldn't figure them out!
  16. I have used shellac, amoung other finishes. You can mix your own shellac. Buy the flakes and dissolve in 99%isopropyl alcohol. I couldn't find denatured alcohol so the guitar place I bought the shellac flakes recommended the isopropyl alcohol. That I purchased at the local pharmacy.
  17. That is a lovely piece Dick. The carving is spot on. I can't imagine that heat. We had a few days where it felt like 100, with the humidity.
  18. I had found the Unicorn Spit at a wholesaler here in the city. It was great! Unfortunately, the warehouse has closed here. Not sure where I will buy now!
  19. That is a beautiful piece.
  20. Both are well done.
  21. Finally got some shop time this week. I was able to get this cute little guy done. Cut from Aspen with a #1 mg blade. The colour is done with Unicorn Spit. Backer is BB ply, about 6" diameter. Finished with Walrus Oil. Pattern was from https://www.sg-patterns.com/slides/Glass pattern 002 Dragonfly Delight.html via a posting on one of the FB pages I subscribe to. I was also able to get a number of other cut, but not finished, projects finished!
