    Great job. I tried cutting a "flat" piece on Douglas Fir - very challenging.

    I haven't read all the comments. Kinda stopped after you mentioned the shipping cost from Bearwood. That is one of the reasons I won't deal with Bearwood. The other was, when I did order blades, and only blades, I had called to inquire whether they would just put them in a regular envelope and post that way. I had just received a similar shipment from Mike's Workshop. The employee on the phone said it was not feasible and that I didn't know what I was talking about. I now purchase from Garnet Hall at Sawbird. Always happy with his service. If I was in the states, it would be Denny.

    It is a Steve Good pattern - floppy wood. I mounted it on the square of plywood. They stand on their own, not sure though when waving! Might have to try the green. Thanks.

    After some serious sewing projects for our boat, I finally got some time on the saw! 3/4 plywood of unknown woods. A gift from a friend. Used a #5mg blade. No finish on it yet. Actually, not sure what to use! Thoughts? I don't want to mess up the flexibility. 20230629_151731.mp4

    @MarieC, that is a stunning heirloom piece. As @FrankEV mentioned, you should absolutely add information on the back.

    Like Ray said, I don't wear gloves, loose tops or even jewelry. Anytime I have tried gloves, they never seem to be snug enough. I have sanded through a few nails over the years. Worst one was the middle of the nail. For small pieces, on the belt sander, I have been taping them to a larger piece for a better grip.

    That looks great. Alex Snodgrass did a similar puzzle box in the shape of an apple. A worm was the key and the stem was the magnet to pull the worm out.

    First puzzle box. Followed the directions from the latest issue of the Scrollsaw magazine, mostly. It was a block of basswood from KJP woods. Didn't add the 1/4" layer because I knew I was painting it. Finished with beeswax butter (beeswax mixed with mineral oil) 20230612_185413.mp4

    These would be some of my favourite outdoor projects. I don't have a picture of just the "Welcome to the Lake" sign, but I had one hanging on the boat until this spring when hubby dropped it. Now I need to cut another one. The puzzle is one of the spots we like to get to and anchor at for a couple of days. This is on Lake of the Woods, ON.
