  1. I just need to make something big enough to finish scroll saw projects. Seen one on google using cardboard sides and a 20” fan with furnace filter. Didn’t know if that would get fumes out an dust Know people here come up with some good ideas for doing things.
  2. Going to make a spray booth for finishing. Any of you come up with a good way to make one?
  3. Not sure about your saw set up. But on my EX21 you can adjust how aggressive it cuts. If real aggressive the blade will bounce the wood. I adjusted mine to were you place a piece of wood up to it and there isn’t any bounce.
  4. I switched from FD to pegas an first thing I noticed was that the pegas blades cut straight. You don’t have to adjust for drift like for FD. The MG cut better in my opinion. Mainly use #3 & #5s
  5. Mine (EX21) does the same thing. I think you are on to something about stretching. Seems odd that after putting in a new blade an cutting for a short time the tension goes away. But after this happens once it doesn’t happen again. I know what Kevin is saying but if the clamps or arms wasn’t down first time you reclamped then it should happen again with the same blade that you clamp several times before it gets worn out. As a side think (lol) I worked on railroad for 41 years and I know how much steel grows when it gets hot. Makes sense a blade getting warm cutting will expand some.
  6. The hummingbird cross is a Sue Mey pattern. All look good!
  7. Glass was cut out of a big sheet of glass. Went to Kokomo Glass in Kokomo Indiana were stained glass is made. Used E6000 to attach the wood to the glass.
  8. A guy wanted my wife to put stained glass in his entertainment center. She suggested that he have me cut something with a nature theme to go with the lest of his house. Wife couldn’t have found a better piece of glass for the project. As a side note he brought the picture that I have posted in this month challenge with the horse shoes and small boy.
  9. I have to ask, why would you need to carry eggs? Or maybe I am missing something.
  10. When I was in third grade I started helping my Uncle farm. This was about 1957. Had me on a 8N Ford tractor with two bottom plow. Uncle had a bigger tractor pulling a three bottom plow. Farmed 300 acres this away. Sun up till sometimes 10 at night. Loved every minute of it. Now around here farmers have 4,000 acres and are done before dinner lol. This project I did for our country fair 3 years ago.
  11. Outstanding job!! When I was a young boy I had the “rifleman’s” rifle. Me and my friends chased down many of the bad guys.
  12. Look forward to being able to get my hands on your patterns.
  13. Thanks I was thinking about making a jig to hold together. Have to give weldon a try.
  14. I have trouble getting things to stay square while gluing. How you do it?
  15. You going to make the pattern available for us who don’t have your knowledge of pattern making? Very good Cross!
  16. Thanks for the pictures. Makes sense now. I do compound cuts also with my EX21 but can’t say I ever put my fingers in that area.
  17. Don’t understand what you mean about not much room behind the blade on the EX. Should be 16” but I am sure I am missing something here lol.
  18. Due to my wife's stained glass business getting bigger she needed more space. So I made a door that now goes from her shop into the garage. Because my wood shop was in the garage I had to find a new spot. We have a barn for three horses and storage. I took a 20' x 20' section and remodeled it for using as a new shop. The pictures show it as you enter and go clockwise around the room. My son did the wiring for me. The barn/shop now has 8 circuits, three for barn and 5 for shop. The AC has it's own, 10 4' LED lights own, jet air filtration has it's own. Then every other outlet drop is on a different circuit. This way I can have two big drawing machines on at the same time without popping a bleaker. I put the dust collection and the shop vac on the outside of the shop to help with the noise an to save space. I insulated an put in a new floor with OSB sheeting on walls. Makes for a nice work space. The wood storage is in the barn space. Now to find were everything is again LOL
  19. Could you make the pattern available for other people to make? This is something that I think the magazine would be interested in also. Thanks
  20. That is the best door prize I ever heard of! Would be worth the trip from Indiana.
  21. If I want a straight line but wide I will cut using standard blades then use a spiral to make bigger. The spiral will follow the cut
  22. I would use a #5 mg pegas blade.
  23. Made this to hold mine.
  24. At what? Lol
  25. She sounds like a keeper to me lol
