Was asked to make a couple of wedding gifts. With the help of Bobscroll making the patterns I was able to do it. Used red oak & painted plywood for backer. 8” x 24” had to do some fancy standing to get my EX 21 in line to cut.
I used spirals in the rose area and flat for the rest. #3 an #5 MG. Walnut backer an white oak. Really like Steve’s coins especially for my older sister
Beggetta posted this pattern, thanks!
My son-in-law got me into the show an I have been wanting to make something for him. Made with padauk an soft maple.
Thanks for the pattern. I have been looking for a GOT pattern to cut for my son-in-law who got me into the show. Don’t know when I will get it done. I have five projects ahead of it. Thanks again
That is just one of the things I like about this forum hearing about how things are in other parts of the world. When I turned 21 I was in the Army on Okinawa. Army didn’t give me a key lol.
Steve posted a pattern yesterday an he said it had an error in it an fixed it, today he said he fixed another error in same pattern. I can't see what the errors were can any of you see what was wrong?
I have my first show this Saturday. Never did this location before an haven’t done a show in several years. What would you say was your best selling item?
Mine did the same thing, as said dirt gets trapped in the corners. What I did was cut the back edge off this way the dust won’t have a place to build up. Haven’t had any problem since doing this 5 years ago.
I set up the tension level on my EX the way the factory manual said. Put blade in flip lever and start cutting. No need to ping or push. Same every time.
That is a good fix for you but I think you have a worn bushing in one or both ends of the arms. My EX 21 is 10 years old and has no movement in that area at all. Be good to hear from others. Maybe it is time for a tuneup.
